Now, with that said, what is your opinion of Tomlin? I’m dying to here this.
I have argued at length with Dizz that he is NOT a "great" coach.
I have argued at length with guys like Squid that he is no scrub either.

He is in my "opinion" (which IS just an unprovable opinion) a very "good" coach.

My basis? His record, in comparison to his peers.

Steeler fans are rarely objective, as they are too emotionally invested and tend to both ends of the extremes.

What do "non-Steeler" fans think of Tomlin?

I would suggest over 90 percent of those people have Tomlin top 5 in the league.
Anecdotally, based on what I hear other fans say, I would guess that after after BB.....Tomlin is either 2nd or 3rd in the minds of a majority.

He has clear flaws. Use of the challenge is horrid.
I think the fact that the team does play down to the competition is legit.

But what coach consistently has his team firing on all cyliders every week? We focus ONLY on our coach. We have NO IDEA what stupid moves cost other teams games.

I have watched only THREE Pats games in the last year. Against us last year and this year and the SB.
The GOAT BB, is a bobbled ball away from having a 2 game losing streak against us. He was CLEARLY out coached in this last one. Between those 2 games sat his probowl caliber corner in the SB which contributed to losing the SB with NICK FOLES throwing for 373 and 3 TDs. OH and he let his 18 touchdown runningback get away who he could have kept on the cheap, and THAT SAME GUY was a key cog to the Eagles beating the Pats.

Now BB is a GREAT coach no doubt. But looking at the details in the games I saw last season he made plenty of mistakes.

Bottom line is the record. Overall, Tomlin is a "good" coach.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

Okay. I was curious on your take. We will agree to disagree on Tomlin.
