Statistically, is there anything Bell does better than Connor?

Conner was a scrub last year, what the hell did he do last year that said he would be great? Every scouting report on James Conner had him as a mediocre early down bruiser, his NFL comparison on his scouting report is T.J. Duckett.

More proof that the supporting cast and o-line has more to do with performance....
Anyone who thinks that Bell would have similar success on the Cleveland Browns or some other bottom dwelling disorganized franchise is fooling themselves...

Let's not overdo it now. Now you, for instance, evaluated him very badly as a scrub but lets' not go and say every scouting report said what you said. There were a lot of good reports on him. Some of the fans are poor evaluators. though. Now they try to justify themselves. Other fans thought he would be very good or excellent, like myself and some others.

yup, why people think it will be a DC nightmare when bell returns is beyond me.

Suck it up, fellas. It's a business. Did you like everyone on your team when you played football (or whatever sport you played)? I didn't either. But I could appreciate having a supremely talented player on my squad even if I thought he was a total butthole off the field. Between the lines, we played together as a team regardless. These guys are pros. They'll figure it out.
Every indication is that his priorities are 100 percent his NEXT team.

I would love to have him in tandem with Conners....if he plays hard. We just have ZERO basis for confidence that he will do that.

Bell took notice and had much to say about Earl Thomas injury. While we cannot know for sure his words actions clearly imply his focus is 100 percent on his future not at all about the present.

The desire to move on has nothing to do with his ability. But if a guy who averaged 4 ypc, plays with a priority to protect himself, we aren't getting a "good" player much less a great one.

I would be happy to see Bell "all in" on the field. I agree it would be worth the coin. I just don't know if the team can have confidence that he will really "bring it"

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

            TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher
