    It’s psychological...
Bells value goes so far beyond the actual numbers. He is an exceptional (maybe the best) blocking RB and even though i like conner he just isnt the matchup problem bell is (though i dont think they need to abandon the run so quickly, conner does grind it out which leads to some bigger runs later in games)

Exactly. But, if you put yourself in a two TD hole, it tends to lead to the abandonment of the running game, Bell or no...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

No, I guess I'm old school. Actions matter. Ethics, morals, team in this case. I have been a fan of the Steelers from birth and will be until the grave. I also think some things are more important than getting wins. I have enjoyed my team being a wining team but most importantly a team that I could be proud of, on and off the field based on their actions. Other teams, not Pitt always had the thugs and pre-Madonna's in the locker room. The culture in the locker room on this team has changed in the last few years. I am a manager running a business and have a few hundred employees. I learned a long time ago you treat people fair in the work place but you do not let them think they run the place. Do I really want them to loose every game if he comes back, no. Would I be more proud of my team if they told him where to get off, YES!

Fair enough. But so you mean to tell me that you are really enjoying this season so far?

sorry dude but this is bogus. Ernie Holmes shot at a police helicopter

Ben had his sexual assault acusations

              Plexico was a head case

              JH slapped his baby momma

The kicker who beat up a bathroom

              Bam Morris...

thats off the top but I’m sure there are more incidents.

We are no no better than any team.. accept the Pats because they had a murderer on their team and were caught cheating.

I guess it it makes sense though since you are a manager. You want employees to fall in line and probably wouldn’t be happy if they wanted to strike for better wages.

I love this team too but I learned a while ago that while we have a family culture we also let a lot of things slide depending on how good a player is... like most teams.

I think the only only thing that has changed is we got older and more “get off my lawn” and “back in my day we would never”

Bell is usually more involved regardless of the score.

and once the game game gets closer we would still run the ball.

We we haven’t seen Bell in Fitchners O though so we shall see.

And against Bal last year in week 4, he had 144 yards rushing, 42 yards receiving and 2 TDs. A total of 186 yards and 2 TDs.

Sunday night, we ended up with 294 total yards (20 rushing) and 2 TDs.

I an not saying that we necessarily win with Bell in the game, but we're certainly a better O. It's hard to imagine that we get less than 50 yards in a half with him in there (although it's kind of impossible to imagine it with him out too).

Even if it just means that Ben doesn't feel like he has to do everything himself. It's nice to have another option when Ben isn't playing well (and he clearly didn't play well against the Rats).

The game he played against the Rats was different...we didn’t give up 2 TDs in 6 minutes...

The game he played against KC was different, two...we didn’t give up 6 passing TDs....

The game he played against the Browns was different...Ben didn’t throw multiple INTs....

You can try to assume what “would have happened”, but it doesn’t prove anything...

Roster exemption issue looms over Le’Veon Bell’s return

Posted by Mike Florio on October 2, 2018, 9:42 AM EDT

Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell plans to return to the team in Week Seven. Before he signs his franchise tender, there’s one specific issue of business that may need to be addressed.

If the Steelers apply for a two-week roster exemption for Bell, the Steelers and Bell will be required to agree in writing regarding his compensation for those two weeks, before he signs the tender. The labor deal, which sets forth that procedure, says nothing about resolving any disagreement that may arise regarding the question of whether Bell should get his full $855,000 even if he’s not on the active roster for two weeks.

So the two sides will either work it out, or they won’t. And if the Steelers tell Bell that: (1) they intend to put him on the roster exempt list for two weeks; and (2) they will only pay him, for example, 25 percent of what he’s due to make, Bell may decide not to sign the tender, after all.

It’s an important issue to keep in mind, now that Bell has made clear that he’ll be blinking, in two weeks. Over the next two weeks, Bell and the Steelers will have to figure out a small detail that could end up being a big deal, if the Steelers decide to drive a hard bargain with Bell.

                            https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/10/02/roster-exemption-issue-looms-over-leveon-bells-return/
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Then he doesn’t sign the tender and loses even more money...

If this traitor sets foot in the Steelers locker room, I hope Tomlin orders a Code Red on him. Whether it's against league rules or not.
