Artie Burns should never see another snap in the NFL...Pure garbage
Butlers love for blitzing DBs is making me sick....Keeps TJ Watt in coverage
I will never understand this....Defense still confused as shlt wth a 12 man penalty and confusion with subs.
Butler has to go somewhere....Comment

Butler is not A DC, your up by 20pts and the Bucs have no running game but yet he continue to play VW AND Bostic instead of bringing in another DB. Plus at this point, you want them to run the ball.... Until he's gone this unit will be no better.http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2...eelers2010.jpgComment

For The Steelers Defense, This Is As Good As It Gets>> https://steelersdepot.com/2018/09/fo...od-as-it-gets/
This unit is going to make you hold your breath virtually every time the quarterback drops back or heaves it deep. They’re going to make you tear your hair out, raise your blood pressure, and break your TV. That’s a given. Accept it.sigpicComment

The secondary is Tomlin's specialty and he has done nothing. We know he's a fraud.
All this talk about the Seminole package. Where?
Using Edmunds in the same role as Shazier? Where?
The D is built for man coverage. Lol. That's just funny.Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.Comment

I don't know about you all but not having a nasty Defense certainly takes the fun out of Steeler Football.
Think about this - On our Roster these are the picks we invested in putting a good defense on the field
1st Round: 7 (2 were Top 10 picks from other teams plus this doesn't include Shazier)
2nd Round: 3
3rd Round: 3
Either we're missing on talent evaluation or something is wrong with the system. Here We Go Steelers, Here We Go...

Not to worry though...
Our head coach's specialty is the secondary. He's really good at it. His secondary ranking when he was a DC was 32. We are in good hands.Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.Comment

I'd be fine with firing Porter, I don't think he's done anything special since he's been here.
But I don't understand the rational for firing Colbert. I find it unlikely that a new GM would be an improvement on Colbert, even though we've missed on some high picks on D lately.
It's hard to really evaluate without looking at where everyone was picked and what the expected production is for players at those draft positions. But, my guess is that Colber's probably done better than expected with players selected at their draft positions. I bet that expected value drops dramatically outside of the top 10 picks or so. And the one guy we hit on that was elite is unlikely to play again.
In a way, we would have benefited from having a season or two of terrible performance in the last few years. Then, we would have had a better chance to pick up an elite player to help carry the D. Like when we were just bad enough to draft Ben under Cowher...although even then we wouldn't have been bad enough to get a franchise QB if the Browns were smart enough to take a QB over a TE.Comment

Then we seem to roll back to BPA in round 2.
I really think we have to go back to just finding the best players regardless of position and adapt the system to the best talent we can find.sigpicComment
