The talent on D has nothing to do with the communication issues that has been an issue since early last year.

Funny thing is if the Steelers go into the bye 4-1-1 all the Tomlin supporters will say what a great head coach he is. But if they go into the bye 0-5-1, 1-4-1, 2-3-1.....Crickets.


Heres your test. Steelers are in Quick Sand. What happens over the next 4 weeks will tell you who Mike Tomlin is. IS he a cheer leading politician or a head football coach.

If we go 4-1-1 it means we made adjustments and the team has improved.

If we are 1-4-1 or 0-5-1 then Tomlin will get the criticism he deserves.

I think its odd to expect a bunch of criticism if we right the ship.

The problem is this would still be Tomlins first losing season. Expecting a firing or mass exodus is reaching.

The D might not be top 10 in talent. But is there anyone that believes that the Patriots* coaching staff wouldn't get more out of this group than we have?

The Pats were embarrassed by KC in their home opener last year and struggled early as well.

They wanr folks to rip Tomlin after a 4 game winning streak. That’s weird but typical of these types.

They wanted him fired as soon as he was hired.

Now if we have a losing record after 5 or 6 games... go in on him. At least they have evidence on their side instead of being frustrated because we went 13-3.

Reminds me of college boosters. Fire the 9 win guy because we are Texas.

The coaching staff (and Tomlin) certainly have some responsibility for what happens on the field.

But, I don't see how you can argue that a guy who never sets foot on the field is the "only one" responsible (although he did step on the field once).

I think that coaching is important. But, not as important as execution.

The Rooneys need to clean house asap, starting with everyone's BFF Tomlin. This team has morphed into the laughing stalk of the leage (aside from Cleveland). Absolutely embarrassing. Get Antonio Brown the **** off this team. I don't care how great he is. He's a cancer. Him and Bell can go hang out and talk about their stats. Package these two idiots for some defensive players or picks.

They'll never do it, but if that's the plan I think you have to move Ben too. There's no point of having a franchise QB without good players on O or D. In that case, try to load up on picks and make a quick turn around.

But, it's way to early for that kind of talk.
