What's funny is that I had nearly the same draft write up about Dupree as I do LVE. Big, athletic, fast but plays soft...can't disengage.

Hey, hey......you cant make player comparisons across race like that.
He IS the next TJ Watt!!!!

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

          TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

            Hahahahaha

Tell you one thing, I don’t want to draft another dumb linebacker.

Only 2 positions that I would scratch my head over is OT & DE. Wide open. 22 starters on roster. Two holes we had upgraded. You really cant sour on any other selection..They all have merits. From Lamar Jackson to Vita Vea...From Derrius Guice to Harold Landry...If BPA..Make them a Steeler. Our two positions on D that need infusion are deep in draft. Starter potential easily into 3rd & 4th...We have time to develop if needed.

I would be upset if we drafted any of these positions below in the first round.

Prepare to be upset, because there's a decent chance it happens. I hope they go D, but it has been a few years since they went offense in round 1.

If one of those is the best player, then do it...no issue with that here...better that or trade down than reach for some other perceived need...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I think our second round pick goes to the offense again (if one of the top 4 TE's falls to 60...Dallas Goedert, Hayden Hurst, Mike Gesicki, Mark Andrews), a second tier RB (Sony Michel, Kerryon Johnson, Rashaad Penny), or even a wideout again (James Washington, Anthony Miller, Equanimeous St. Brown). But I still think it's sandwiched by a couple of defensive picks in the 1st and 3rd rounds. We'll see, though. At this point, it's getting hard to imagine any pick that would be truly shocking. Anything is possible.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

if 4 or 5 QB's are off the board and Barkley is gone as well...there should be a player or 2 on D on our board that is available.

The first pick needs to be D.

Eh, you draft players not positions...

                              you draft both.

If you draft primarily for positions of need, you tend to overdraft lesser players...

That is a bad way to build a team...
