Agree. Ridley was effective in the one game he played. I'm fine with him as a #3 RB. I can't understand how Watson got cut in favor of Toussaint, unless it was an issue with special teams.

I like your draft there Ruthless. I'm thinking Vander Esch as well in round 1. Rounds 2 and 3, spot on.

1.28 LB Leighton Vander Esch, Boise St. 6'4" 256
            2.60 C/G Billy Price, Ohio St. 6'4" 305

            5.148 DT Kendrick Norton, Miami 6'3" 314
            5.165 TE Christopher Herndon, Miami 6'4" 253

Alfred Blue only ran for 108 yards on our substandard defense so he’s probably not worth signing. If he were any good at all he would have easily had over 200 yds rushing on Christmas Day.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

Thanks, Felix. My dream scenario would be to figure out a way to trade up to get Roquan Smith, who is the closest thing to Shazier. But being realistic, I'd be psyched to land Vander Esch if we stay where we are. Hopefully something good works out for us.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I agree. Ridley or Watson over Toussaint.

My Raider buddy is down on Smith. He says Smith is a sideline to sideline tackler as long as the D-line keeps him clean but if not, he’s washed out of the play.

I would agree with that but Shazier was simar in that regard. His quickness would mitigate that from being an issue.

This is why we need a true NT if we want to run our base 3-4.

There’s no arguing about having a nose tackle that takes up a lineman or two.

If the Steelers got themselves a ‘true NT’, is Bostic good enough at ILB?

Or Jerome Baker out of Ohio St?
