I think I posted this in another thread, but with so many needs and so few draft picks, we need to be savy. FRUSTRATES ME... why are they hold on to Wilcox and Sensabaugh? That is like 5 Milion!

The Steelers will need a few million for potential injury replacements during the season, money for the practice squad and money for the rookies. There is plenty of time to cut those guys but no need to rush into it out.

Yeah, we can hold off on cutting them for a minute.

I wish that they would split carries with different RBs. I think it allows for diverse skill sets and protects the team in case of an injury.

But, the team has shown no desire to split carries for Bell. He's great on running and passing downs. Unfortunately, that means he's also worth a lot of money so it's harder to pay a complimentary guy. That leads to him getting a ton of carries and receptions. Which leads to him being injured at the end of the season more often then not. That means that we have more need for a complimentary guy, but we need a rookie / 1st contract guy to play that role because we need them to do it for cheap.

I think that the conclusion is that it won't be unreasonable to let Bell go. I think it wouldn't be a bad decision to do it this season, but I think the most likely scenario is tag him again this year and let him walk next year.
