Bell sets an example ON THE FIELD.

If he was a life coach I would see your point. Besides the weed I don't give a crap about any of that other stuff. That's just info people use to justify not paying a player who breaks records.

He was late to a walk thru, he said something mean in an interview, he raps..

man, GTFOH. (not you presonally but the faux outrage over this interview)

For once, I agree with Tom Brady:

”It’s how you play, not what you say.”

Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

People don't understand, this could be a big part of the problem with the culture of this team. Maybe one player can blow off practices and meetings and be looking to a different opponent and perform just fine ... but on a team, no player is an island. Part of your responsibility is not only to get yourself ready, but to help get your teammates ready. Bell wasn't doing that.

And I doubt he's the only one.

Maybe the Steelers have adopted Dizz's philosophy, and that's a big part of the reason why they don't always play well as a team -- they don't respect (and along with that, trust) each other. Couldn't that result in blown assignments and communication issues?

You can have a roster loaded with talent, but if they don't play together as a team, you're going to have problems.

Yeah, and he's well known for looking past opponents, skipping and/or showing up late for meetings, practices, and walkthroughs. LOL.

He’s well known for playing well.

Again, did Bell not play well against Jacksonville?

Browner admitted some Patriots were able to get away with breaking curfew rules. He said a player who shall not be named had his wife at the hotel after curfew.

Its so so silly to act like these little off field things have an impact on the actual game.

We are talking about a Pats team that had a murderer on their roster and also had a head coach who flew his mistress into town for a SB and mailed her bucked of cash.

I swear, the irony is amazing.

These are grown men who get paid hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions, to play football. Unless the motivating player gets a cut of their paycheck, then they should motivate themselves.

we were 13-3 and lost to a good Jags team. A team who was a few plays away from a SB.

I think dome some of you are so jaded you don’t even realize how dumb you sound when bashing this team.

No. Do you think anyone respected Ben for his off field issues?

No, they respected him for his on field play.

It’s football not church. If anyone is a baby it’s you with the “Bell said something that was true, he might of hurt his players feelings”

                              Enough with the poutrage.

No, that IS the case. There is no speech or hand holding that will motivate a player to play better. He has to do it himself. Especially when he is playing against a team/player who is just as hungry as he is...
