Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

In the short term...even with HoFers, Barry was unable to maintain consistency in winning.

Tomlin has shown that he is able to run a team that wins consistently...

        116-60 Regular season
        8-7 in the playoffs
        2 Superbowl appearances
        1 Superbowl win
        0 losing seasons
        3 AFC Championship appearances
        2 AFC Championship wins
He actually wins more than he loses in the playoffs.

Is Mike Tomlin perfect? Of course not, but replacing him means taking a chance on somebody who is unproven or hiring someone who has been less successful. You don't coach for 11 years in the NFL without a losing season if your not an elite level coach.

And 40% of those playoff wins came 9 years ago on that SB run.

I don’t expect them to win the SB every year. But I also don’t expect unprepared, undisciplined & underperforming every year. But that’s become far too common. That falls on the HC.

Nobody is arguing that. But, Tomlin has more than earned the benefit of the doubt, especially in the context of past Steelers head coaches...

So how long does the benefit of the doubt get to cover him? We’ve got a top QB with only a few years left, the top WR & top RB in the league; yet we’re coming up short & he hasn’t coached well in important games.
There’s little reason to believe that after what we’ve seen the last 8 years his coaching is going to turn a corner.

Well according to a few on this forum, he should be given a lifetime extension. Don't matter how badly we underachieve every year.

The top QB, top WR, and top RB didn't give up all those points to the Jags. A few of them, but not the bulk of them.

Correct. The defense sucks. And who's drafting all those #1 pick defensive busts? Who did we find out is in charge of the defense?

So fire him then. IDGAF. I'm over the loss. I don't let the outcome of Steelers games affect my life anymore. I'm a fan. I celebrate when they win and I hate when they lose...but there's more to life for me.

But, you don’t have a burning hatred of the coach....others do, for some unknown reason....

                              That's an excellent point!
