Is Deebo covering a back out of the backfield? Or a TE? Because that’s how they killed us on 3rd down...
Can't tell me Deebo wouldn't have helped today

You guys must be kidding.
This team was better off than those two teams. And Deebo isn't covering anyone out of the backfield, you're right. But that isn't when you would insert him in a game. You send him in on that 3rd down passing situations, and you let him hunt on a rookie Left Tackle.I wasn't hired for my disposition.Comment

Did we have to get rid of him late in the season? Could he have played a few snaps in the regular season for added depth. Something that I saw from our OLB's today is that when they blitzed they took deep angles to Bortles.
Perhaps that was designed to have him step up in the pocket but the wide angle prevented them from getting any pressure on him. too often I saw Watt reaching from behind on pass plays and come up short.
I don't think this one of this is a one way or other proposition. In a game determined by 3 points where there were some key 3rd down conversions even one sack by Harrison could've made a difference.
We will never know. But it will be interesting to see the stat line on Harrison moving forward ( I won't watch the rest of the way because NE has it).

The D gave up 34 (the fumble return was on Ben, the int -- I'd put the inability to hold the Jags to an FG on the D).
That's not a D that was only missing Deebo. The entire D was missing.Comment

Dupree's season was a huge disappointment. At this point, after all the picks invested in OLB, it's still a huge need.Comment

Yes they will... and I sort of feel sorry for those folks, because they are in for a long off season.Comment

But HE DID HELP.
Actually last season we lost to a team (the Dolphins) who had a running back (Jay Ajayi) who tore us up worse to the tune of 200 plus yards in the regular season when JH was on the bench. Same EXACT scenario as the Titans this season.
In the playoff Deebo had TEN TACKLES 1 and a half sacks and was key in shutting Ajayi down in the playoff game we won.
EXACT SAME SCENARIO as this game dude, just a different Florida team and Deebo was a stinking BEAST......the result was wholly different.sigpic
In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:
