No question. Need to draft QB in round 1 if the value is there... and/or find a free agent who can, at a minimum... bridge the gap.

      Why was it comical?
We still beat them with Landry flopping on the floor and the horrible snaps.
If not for some really horrible safety play, it was over at the half.

If there's anything we take out of this game its that the defense is still susceptible to the big play.
We have now allowed 13 passing plays of over 40 yards on the year.
We need to tighten things up in time for the playoffs and make teams earn their scores.

Looking forward to watching the 4:30 games. Should be some playoff seedings on the line.
I don't think I said Cleveland wouldn't show up at all, but I said the Steelers backups had a good chance to win. Which they did. Cleveland showed up better than I thought they would, but they still gave up six sacks and a 96 yard KO return. Kizer played to win. Some of the others did. At times their tackling and blocking was spotty. If this was their Superbowl they should have won because as you say, Cleveland has enough talent to have some wins. They shouldn't be 0-16.

Thank you for admitting that they put forth more effort than you thought they would. The stats will reveal what they will...but their loss was not due to a lack of effort on their part. They were (again this year) a play or two away from winning the game.

A backup QB playing with backup RBs, backup offensive linemen (including a 3rd-string center who repeatedly made bad snaps) goes 23-27 for 239 yards and a TD, the team wins, and he's "mega garbage?"

In my eyes, he's exactly what you need in a backup QB. I wouldn't want him as a permanent starter, but he has gotten the job more often than not.

No one knows what can happen. You have your opinion, i had mine.
We won and Ben or Bell didnt get hurt and the Patriots won.
It turned out just like i thought.
Im not going to thump my chest because an 0-15 Browns team kept it close....LOL

I pretty much posted the same thing in another thread.

Kinda stupid that people believe that isn't it. He is a back up. Nothing more and nothing less. As we saw today he can get the job done but he will never be a starter. Doesn't make him garbage just makes him the typical NFL back up

No, but you should be embarrassed for insinuating that CLE wasn't going to get off of the bus.

Sorry but you are wrong. We need a Safety and ILB early in the draft not a back up QB

Let me clarify.. we need to find Ben's replacement between now and training camp. I said we needed ILB early in this year's draft... but didn't get one.

LOL, embarrassed..I don't care about Cleveland one bit.
Only thing i was embarrassed about was our defense that was only playing without 1 starter.

Ben's replacement isn't being found between now and training camp, that's for sure. Landry may have to hold down the fort for a year or two while that process plays out and I'm fine with Jones, he's serviceable, the Steelers will still be competitive (IMO) because of other elite football players (Think back to some of Cowher's teams prior to Ben).

We had no serious need at ILB until Shazier's injury...now we do
