speaking of sandbagging - while i never want the steelers to dump a game, I'm also not sure if it's a good strategy to show all their cards in week 15. Who knows how the seeding and the playoffs will work out - but let's just say I'm not confident of beating the pats once in a season let alone twice. And if we are going to get a split - I'd rather the win be in January!!......
Are We Sandbagging?

You are referencing one play where a linebacker prevented him from turning up the sideline...one playI also noticed Bell couldn't juke anyone.
And I also noticed that he didn't seem to be able to get to the edge and turn upfield.
And I was thinking, "Man, he's lost that step, hasn't he ...". And I remember thinking that a couple of times in the last few games also.
Doesn't prove anything ... it's just some knee-jerk observations ...Comment

Odd Ben factoid that was noted in Peter King's MMQB this week:
Regarding the Pittsburgh-Indianapolis game Sunday: After 10 minutes in his Week 10 game, Ben Roethlisberger, for the season, had 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, and had taken 10 sacks.Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

The thing is that the first game will probably decide where the second game is played.
I'd have a lot more confidence playing in Pittsburgh in January than in Foxboro - regardless of the result in December.Comment

I'm no great fan of Tomlin but he did make a great point addressing the offense problems on Wednesday.
Tomlin said "I make no excuses, but we have played 6 of 9 games on the road", road games make 3rd down efficiency difficult.
If you can't convert on 3rd down largely because crowd noise makes QB communications harder and limits play calling then drives stop."
Tomlin said he believes being the second half of the season is heavily waited for home games this will change and the offense will be fine.
Last nights game 40pts.Comment
