Haley had some success with our offense. But 9 games in at this point, it's still such a cluster (and Ben clearly doesn't like him) that I wouldn't mind seeing a change. Remember when the Rats fired their OC during the season? I seem to recall that energizing them.

But for heaven's sake, please change SOMETHING. Where's all the no-huddle that's been talked about for years? Come out featuring that. The offense right now is predicable. Surely between Ben, Haley, Fictner and others, they can come up with something (that hopefully doesn't include a MB reverse).
Eh, there’s a lot of chatter in the age of social media, and a lot of it doesn’t hold water.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I don't recall hardly any play-action, or fades into the corner of the EZ.

For play-action, everyone is keying on LB so much it seems like it should really pay off. And now that we have some non-midgets in the WR corps (sorry, AB!), fades into the EZ corner seem like they should work at least as well for us as for all the other teams to do them.

Does anyone else wonder why we don't do those plays more?

Just heard Haley discuss the "STFU" moment at the time of the 2-point clusterbuck.

"I said it - but not to Ben, it was to 'a coach who I will not name', but it wasn't Tomlin".

        So there. I guess.

He didn't actually address whether he thought we should do a PAT or 2-point play. One could probably infer fairly confidently that he wasn't thinking about a PAT, but he didn't say that explicitly. So there was no "Tomlin overruling Haley" it seems.

        So there. I guess!

If Haley gets canned(which he wont during this season)then you promote within until the season is over.
You cant bring in a new OC with a team making a run for a superbowl.

Report: Several Steelers want Haley in press box during games

Todd Haley's name continues to be tied to negative reports following Pittsburgh's victory over the Colts.

Todd Haley's name continues to be tied to negative reports following Pittsburgh's victory over the Colts.

A day after reporting that Haley is "on the hot seat," Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan is reporting that several players and coaches want Haley in the press box instead of the sideline during games.

On Monday, Ben Roethlisberger opened up to Fillipponi and Ron Cook during his weekly radio show about his game day relationship with Haley after TV cameras captured Pittsburgh's offensive coordinator giving Big Ben a tongue lashing during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.

"That’s nothing new, him screaming at me during games," Roethlisbeger said. "You guys just never see it. I did look over at the sideline (before the two-point conversion) and he was definitely screaming at me.

"At the time, you move on. You really can’t get caught up in it."

While Haley should be commended for helping transcend and mature Big Ben's game since becoming offensive coordinator in 2012, something clearly isn't working between the two this season, as Pittsburgh's offense is 18th in the NFL in scoring after scoring just 17 touchdowns in the season's first nine games.

Haley, Roethlisberger and the Steelers' offense will look to get on track Thursday night against a Titans' defense that is led by Dick LeBeau, Pittsburgh's defensive coordinator during the team's two most recent Super Bowl victories.

Haley said on camera he was yelling at an assistant coach, not Ben.

Not sure what the problem is with yelling. It's just some people's style. Like, e.g., Parcells, or Cowher.

Ben has also admitted that he doesn't like it. Didn't like it with Wiz and doesn't like it with Haley. Sometimes you have to adjust your coaching style to fit the player.

I'm not sure I buy that Haley wasn't screaming STFU to Ben. What other coach's name fits the lip-sync that we saw on TV?

But regardless, Haley is becoming a problem. And if we have more than one player and coach desiring for him to move off the sidelines and into the booth, that doesn't say much about the respect that anyone has for the guy.

Not sure I agree that it's a matter of respect. Maybe they just don't want to be yelled at. (If this unsubstantiated rumor is even true).

who cares if Ben doesn't like it.

I bet some of the players don't like Ben going on the radio every monday and passive aggressively calling players out on the sly from time to time.

Yep. Ben's got an attitude problem and pride cometh before the fall. Not sure what he is so proud of, given his sub-par play this season.

I don't care if Ben doesn't like it either. I've said it before. Bradshaw didn't like Noll. You can tolerate that kind of relationship if the offense is going and it's motivating. But our offense isn't improving after 9 games. And now we're hearing that other coaches and players want Haley off the field and in the booth.

It's just my gut feel but I do think that Haley has become a problem. I just hope that if Tomlin feels the same, that he does something about it soon.
