this is dumb but typical of the NFL.

We are going to allow celebrations this year but make sure we speed the game up after TD's.

There are literally 50 eleven other moments when the NFL could "speed up the game" but they choose the moment when fans enjoy it the most to save on time?

I swear, while some folks try and use the Kaepernick situation as the reason for the ratings going down it's actually the NFL eating it's own. Did anyone see some of these empty stadiums yesterday?

I'd really like them to stop going for two so much.

Speeding up the game in that way allows for longer commercial breaks! Duh!
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Less than the zero times that we have gone for two this season?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

You do realize that they were celebrating after scoring a touchdown which is pretty much all you can do unless there is some sort of Trifecta TD I don't know about

I want to see many more celebrations because that means many more TDs have occurred

I do know that! I also know no-one put a gun to their head and made them celebrate in a way that cost us a penalty.

NFL OK with Martavis Bryant rolling dice in celebration
Posted by Michael David Smith on September 18, 2017, 12:14 PM EDT

In the latest sign that the NFL is easing up on celebrations, the league has confirmed that there’s no problem with pretending to roll dice while celebrating.

During Sunday’s game against the Vikings, Steelers receiver Martavis Bryant pretended to roll dice in the end zone, with a couple of teammates joining in. In the past, that would have been a no-no in the NFL, both because orchestrated celebrations weren’t allowed and because the NFL kept anything that could seem remotely related to gambling at arm’s length.

But NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart said on a conference call today that the celebration was discussed at the league office, and everyone thought Bryant’s celebration was all in good fun.

“There was an internal debate this morning over whether they were referring to Yahtzee or backgammon,” Lockhart said. “I don’t think we’re in a place to determine that, so I think that’s OK with us.”

So Bryant doesn’t have to worry about losing any money on this dice game.

It technically was not Bryant's celebration that drew the flag...it was the Steelers not recognizing that the game clock was started immediately following the TD...

Evidently Martavis Bryant believes this also

I don't think the Steelers got a delay because they were waiting for those guys, the whole team including the sidelines looked like they had no idea the clock was running.

It's a black mark for the coaching staff for not knowing the rules.

One thing Harbaugh has on Tomlin. He's a better coach. In many aspects.

I don't have a problem with TD celebrations. I just don't care for them. I'm more privy to the Barry Sanders method - this is what i do - and simply hand the ball to the ref. Then go back to your teammates and share hugs and hand slaps and high fives.

I have a far greater issue with Tomlin not knowing the rules than I do with Marty's celebration. I, for one, was happy for Marty. His journey has been a long one.
