Personally think it was a good selection simply as insurance for Bryant. If Bryant stays off the weed, it may not be as important.

going to be a fun WR battle for the 5th spot in camp, that's for sure. I figure AB, Bryant, JuJu and Eli are locks. But, Coates, Ayers, DHB, Justin Hunter for one spot... that could be fun

agree. And guys who can cover long enough to allow any sort of rush to get there... Atlanta for 3 quarters was the blueprint. Get up close to the WRs, plan man to man and make your man work to get open.

But, no...the Raiders and Texans take them back to back, and I'm bummed. But then I realize Chidobe Awuzie and Josh Jones are still available, so all is not lost. Seattle takes a center and I rejoice. K.C. takes Kpassagnon, who I liked, but not in round 2. But then Dallas and Green Bay take Awuzie and Jones back to back, and I can't believe it. Couldn't agree more. It was torture, especially with that run on all that great defensive talent in the 2nd. With the depth of 1st round talent available in 2, I was hoping they'd make a very non-Steeler move and trade next year's #1 to anyone taking it for Cunningham, Awuzie, Baker, Melifonwu, etc. Kind of like getting your two 1st rounders over two years in one year. You'd even accelerate the process (2 -second year players vs. 1 -second year player and 1-first year player). With Ben year-to-year, I want as much talent as possible as soon as possible.

All that said, with who was available at 62, Smith-Schuster was a really good value pick.

Is anybody else somewhat excited about the 5th round corner we got? 6'3", 4.45. Great measurables, converted WR so needs to learn the position, supposed to be another high character guy (a theme in this years draft) and in a position of need. Could be a winner. Could be an early cut, but I am intrigued. As much as I am confused by the overall draft. Hell, the long snapper is the only one I see starting in the very near future!

That was rough. I would have loved Awuzie or Jones.

Risk on a former offensive player who switched to defense. Had good measurables. i instantly thought of Ike... that worked out well...
