Question for those who wanted olb, cb, cb in the first 3

If the draft went that way, do you still think that you hold NE to under 30 pts. Anytime soon?

Have any coach in the NFL other than the Broncos had success.

I think we may have seen a DB in the same frame as Hogan as he streaked all by his lonesome down the field for a td.

Maybe not this year but hopefully the following year or the year after.
Better than waiting another 4 or 5 yrs before we try to replace the weakest links on the team.

I wanted a S in the third, but I'm happy with what we have. JuJu helps an area of the team that has a lot of question marks. If Wilson or Tabor would have been there, that's who I draft, but Cam in the 3rd was a good pick

OK, so long time lurker (back to the Trib days) but first time posting....

Is anybody else somewhat excited about the 5th round corner we got? 6'3", 4.45. Great measurables, converted WR so needs to learn the position, supposed to be another high character guy (a theme in this years draft) and in a position of need. Could be a winner. Could be an early cut, but I am intrigued. As much as I am confused by the overall draft. Hell, the long snapper is the only one I see starting in the very near future!

I'm a little disappointed with how the draft played out ... I thought Josh Jones or Awukie were ours but they both went the 2 picks prior to us. JuJu was obviously the best pick for us at that point.

So if NE , Brady in particular start his decline then you have built your team for one team only, instead of improving the team as a whole. In two years MB will either be out of the league but definitely not on ours.

i wasn't one of them, but, i did wanted defense in the first 3. Wouldn't have been opposed to an ILB... IMO, VW is an "average" NFL Starter.

having said that, since they took a WR, do you think this rookie WR is going to be the difference in "outscoring" NE?

I am very excited but he is a project. Likely will have to excel on special teams to avoid the practice squad.W

hat is interesting about all the bitchers and moaners and their post draft hysteria is they forget we DID GET 2 CBs in this draft. Perhaps Allen gets converted to Safety????????

Waiting for that second pick was torture. A half dozen picks until we pick again, and both Zach Cunningham and Obi Melifonwu are still on the board. We've already passed the point where I was pushing for a reasonable trade up for one of those two players...could either one of them just fall into our laps at 62 without trading? But, no...the Raiders and Texans take them back to back, and I'm bummed. But then I realize Chidobe Awuzie and Josh Jones are still available, so all is not lost. Seattle takes a center and I rejoice. K.C. takes Kpassagnon, who I liked, but not in round 2. But then Dallas and Green Bay take Awuzie and Jones back to back, and I can't believe it. So close...so close, and yet so far...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Good question, I personally think he will be a big part of the red zone. The Steelers have proven if no other positions, that they know how to coach up receivers.

If JuJu is can be a big target in the red zone, it would take our offense to a new level.

IMO, NE can dink/dunk, go downfield and run. If you build the team to beat NE, you can beat anyone.

And also IMO, we already have the offense to beat them - as long as it stays healthy. All we really need is a consistent pass rush to slow cheating Brady down.
