genetics and osmosis? no. but, being around football people from day 1 and getting insight that the average Joe didn't get is huge. and many times, the backup QBs are the best coaches - because they've helped the QB in real-life game situations. Ben always refers to how much Charlie Batch helped him.

Yes, you have to apply what you've learned. but, the exposure is invaluable.

He was going to be great at whatever he did because of his insane drive.

Can't get them right all the time especially gauging a man's heart. Cutler could have been great when looking at his physical attributes.

Most first round QB's have the physical attributes to be great. The mental toughness is what separates most of these guys

but Peyton couldn't beat Florida in college and he underperformed in the playoffs. Great regular season QB.

He was a great in the film room and great at reading defenses presnap but he seemed to play his worst when the lights were the brightest.

I think Eli was more successful in the playoffs because his mind wasn't working all the time. Peyton seemed to psych himself out in big moments.

Also, his SB performances and the playoffs runs during those SB wins were subpar.

He was second, third and fourth best a lot during his career too.

cooper had an physical condition that derailed his career... you really wanna ding him for THAT? wow. credibility all gone.
