    Gruden's QB Camp

So, I caught some of Brad Kaaya last night (In fact, I nodded, but, DVR'd so will watch today). Gruden's analysis is usually spot on with these guys. I think this could be a good living breathing thread on the QBs (if you guys haven't seen already). If you've already watched his analysis, do share.

Only thing I have on Kaaya now is... his mom is "Felecia". Yes, THAT Felecia... ya know, "bye Felecia" (from Friday).

I'll draft him if his dad is Deebo.

And not if his dad is Smokey.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Seriously, i do have that one set to DVR. Before I nodded, I set it to record Kaaya, Mahommes, Peterman, Tribusky and Watson... don't recall seeing Kizer or Webb - i may have to go back and look for those two. Surely they're included.

Not true. though he rarely speaks negatively about any of the kids (cuz it's probably just rude to do a show 1-1 with someone then call 'em sucky), you have have to listen to his level of praise, relative to the other kids. it's telling.

Gruden does seem to like everybody. A lot of the times it's what he doesn't say that you have to pay attention to.

It's an art to be able to walk that line like Gruden does when he does that show.

I want to know how Gruden became a QB guru. He won in Tampa with a dominant defense and a veteran journeyman QB. What QB has he developed?

I think they are giving him credit for the rise of Rich Gannon. A journeyman QB who went on to become an MVP of the league late in his career. I think; don't hold me to that. LOL

eh, they're 2nd generation football family. Their dad was in the NFL as a coach/scout. he also has a brother (Jay) who played QB in college (at the Ville) and is now coaching the Redskins. Jay did pretty well in arena football as player and coach. Jon was a backup college QB... it's a lifelong insight into general football knowledge that you can't really deny.

But, in addition to Rich Gannon (who was always a cerebral guy, he just fit Gruden's system), don't forget he managed to win a Super Bowl with Brad Johnson (who had Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Jake Reed) and was "bleh".

LMAO...seriously, I love it. He has the face and the passion when he speaks but there is NOTHING on his resume that says he is a QB guru.

He is entertaining though and knows his X's and O's.
