I see what you are saying, but we have a lots of holes, all can be considered equal needs.
About Green's mystery status, he is still on concussion protical to start the season. I think they are hanging on to him because of the cap hit. I read about Jesse, I do think he is a keeper, but he is not a difference maker. With the questions surrounding Green and who is going to be available as the #2 WR, I think a double TE set could be the answer.

I hope Green comes back healthy and can be a solid contributor, but I have the feeling that the first time he takes a good lick he'll be knocked out for the better part of the season.Comment

He's an incredible athlete who may have been held back somewhat by the way he was utilized. If used properly, I think he could be special. I'm not sure that would happen with the Steelers.Comment

No, no, no... go back to the Baltimore game on the last drive. James was the difference. Unfortunately he came up half a yard short in the Pats game but he was almost the difference if our O woulda punched it in before halftime.I see what you are saying, but we have a lots of holes, all can be considered equal needs.

2 TE sets isn't the answer. AB and Bryant, Eli Rogers with James at TE is the answer.Steelers 27

This draft is so clouded for the Steeler fans right now as there are two huge question marks on offense, and the FO knows more about them than we do. Are they monitoring Bryant? Do they have an idea of where his head is at? Do they expect him to keep his nose clean and enjoy a productive career from here on out, or are they wary? Same goes for Green - insert health issues where you see drug issues.
I think we can state that if either - or both - are ready to start the season, and the FO is convinced that their issues are behind them, then there is no need to draft that position. However, if the FO believes that either of them are questionable then that position becomes a priority, right behind OLB and CB.
This draft should go a long way in letting us know what the FO expects out of these two guys.Comment

Well said! We have sooo many questions, I just hope we answer them correctly in the draft. This draft is so clouded for the Steeler fans right now as there are two huge question marks on offense, and the FO knows more about them than we do. That would be an awesome draft! A freak at safety, plus both a slot corner and outside corner, a quality edge rusher in Rivers or Willis as the heir apparent to Harrison plus Anzalone to rotate with Vince inside, and a monster TE in Shaheen as well as a later round wideout with size. If you used the last pick for RB depth behind Bell, it would be darn near perfect. My Steelers mock if Obi is available at #30:
1. Obi Melifonwu S Connecticut 2. Derek Rivers OLB Youngstown St. (or Jordan Willis, Kansas State) 3. Damontae Kazee CB San Diego St. 3. Adam Shaheen TE Ashland 4. Ahkello Witherspoon CB Colorado 5. Alex Anzalone LB Florida 6. Kenny Golladay WR Northern Illinois 7. Samson Ebukam OLB Eastern Washington Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

The Steelers aren't in control of Bryant's destiny, right now, but Goodell is.This draft is so clouded for the Steeler fans right now as there are two huge question marks on offense, and the FO knows more about them than we do. Does Peppers have the potential to play FS? If so, I'm warming to him and he's probably my pie-in-the-sky guy so far. I've seen his lack of ball production (INT, FF) but given his athletic talent (return men have high athleticism), I would love to add a guy like that to the roster.I wasn't hired for my disposition.Comment
