Yeah, you are way off with your assessment of me. Who have I tried to "hit a homerun on"? Have you seen the mock in my sig? Not, a single big splash weird pick in there. And notice RB isn't listed until the 7th....but realistically I think the Steelers do move on a running back with their second third round pick.

You were talking about wanting to Trade Bell for 2 imaginary 1st rounders instead of resigning him long term.Yeah, you are way off with your assessment of me. Who have I tried to "hit a homerun on"? Im also talking about your prediction of all the RB's besides the top 5 being trash. I disagree. There will be a few RB's from this class that will add depth to the RB position and have solid years in later rounds. I'm not concerned with who will be stars.
I never said you wanted us to draft a RB early in this draft. Not sure where you got that idea.Last edited by feltdizz; 03-26-2017, 04:58 PM.Steelers 27

I didn't say "trash", I said they are not as good as advertised. I don't believe Perine or Conner are "trash", and the others need a different round grade. Second, I love me some Bell as you know based on my pre-draft assessment of him. But, yes I would have liked to have gotten two first rounders for him and grabbed Mixon. And? Did I pull out my "draft master" status and predict it would happen? No. I think I offered many realistic, firmly grounded assessments. I wish I could say the same for you. I think you are doing what you do...goad and be non-committal about your own assessments. It's cool, I'm used to it from you.Mom talking about wanting to Trade Bell for 2 imaginary 1st rounders instead of resigning him long term.

SO, who is it that you believe the Steelers should draft 2-4? Why? Which of these running backs you assume are "deep" and terrific do you believe the Steelers will add? Which one am I wrong about?Trolls are people too.Comment

Trading Bell for two first round picks and then taking Mixon? It's bold....and I'd normally like it but it might stunt the growth of the offense short term; and all we realistically have with Ben is the short term. If this were Ben's 7th or 8th season, I'd be all for it.Comment

its great if you play madden but no, definitely not a smart idea given the way our offense is centered around Bell.Trading Bell for two first round picks and then taking Mixon? Indeed it would have been. And you have a solid point. What I will say though is that I believe Mixon is a plug and play guy from day 1. I believe he will be rookie of the year. Bell struggles to find the field between his drug use and injuries...so as good as he is, he can't help us if he isn't on the field. I suppose realistically we could waste a draft pick on Kamara so we have something to biatch about.Trading Bell for two first round picks and then taking Mixon? Runningback is the one position you can plug and play. But it's too risky and may

Woe is us...we have the best RB in the league and also the best WR in the league and were able to keep both of them this offseason.
But our front office sucks because they refuse to jettison our own studs and shell out huge dollars for other teams' castoffs instead.Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

LOL. Ruth,
I think what people are trying to say is they want a balanced, all around team and would like to allocate some of those big dollars to the defense. Who wants to end up like the Minnesota Vikings of 1999? All offense but when they needed defense in the playoffs, there was none. So all they had was a 15-1 season while Denver was hoisting the trophy.
You can see their point. We have to have a better defense to really compete for a championship.Comment

who do you want to pay on defense for balance? You have to keep the best players to win IMO and right now those guys are on offense. I wouldn't spend big money on defense until I had to given that we have been rebuilding the last few years and they are all on rookie contracts.LOL. Ruth,

The offense is being paid more now because they're younger. Cam Heyward is the only guy who has been paid on defense. Tuitt, Shazier, Dupree, Burns, and Davis are all on rookie deals. There will be less disparity when they get paid.LOL. Ruth,

Yep, hopefully, by that time we'll have that young QB and Young RB in place to be able to reallocate big dollars.
