If you wanted Njoku, you'd need to take him at #30, though.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Grimble is not the answer. I'd look in the 3rd for a TE (maybe 2nd if no DB is on the board assuming we go OLB in the 1st)
I wouldn't be surprised if we passed on TE. I think we are going to take another chance on Green and James continues to get better. It's not a need, it's a luxury IMO.

Exactly what recent info is there to give any confidence Green will be a reliable player next season? In fact, all the information I've seen gives the exact opposite... That he cannot and should not be relied on.
I get it. The Steelers got a ton of money sunk in the guy, but no way can anyone be comfortable w the situation.

i cant believe that people think we need a qb, rb or te more than olb, cb and s.
did everyone forget about our lack of pass rush?, our ability to cover?, do you think mitchell, gay and harrison are approaching their prime?
the first 4 picks should be defense.

I think it is moot anyway as we will roll with Green. Assuming he is not showing something we don't know about, he is back as #1, James #2, and no high draft pick TE

In this draft, I absolutely think you take an OLB first, unless there is some sort of incredible run at the position. I would follow that with a corner unless the Steelers invest FA money at the position.

If the Steelers draft an OLB and sign a corner, I can see a scenario where they use 1 or 2 of their 3 second day picks on a TE or WR. I'd still go defense heavy in the draft.

I agree, this is draft guru talk tho... these guys always want TE in the first for some reason. QB? in the first? In a weak QB class? LMAO

                lmao.. I can't believe it but I agree 100%

it might be a little different if the steelers cut green, but they are standing by him, paying him big money and expecting big things.

except we don't know that the steelers are standing by green with any certainty

maybe they plan on drafting a TE in the top 3 rounds and make green a post June cap casualty and gain 5 million in cap space

its not the draft gurus that are talking with several top and mid level TE prospects at the combine, its the steelers

talking to a lot of players at various positions is part of the process.

gee whiz, thanks for the insight

historically the Steelers like to meet with players they are thinking about drafting, but I'm sure it's all just a ruse.

Yes, and the other side of the field wants an over-hyped, over priced malcontent as our third WR. It's probably why none of us run an NFL franchise.
