Patriots just got Brandon Cooks from the Saints. Only way they are derailed now is by unforeseen injuries.

They were laughing on NFL network saying the Patriots don't even have to draft anyone..
Bill is making fools of every team in the NFL.

Yeah! And he sure is getting help from a lot of teams whose "be-hinds" he kicked along the way! It's like teams jump at the chance to help the pats get better. Feeding the enemy! Really makes you wonder if teams really care about winning as much as they do the "politics and business" of the game.

That is true. But the tide is changing. Also the GM is doing it different and yet to see the long term effect. But short term looks good with a strong revamped oline. Building the defense in the last draft and with smart trades. How much better short term and long all hinges on a QB and all those draft picks. But just a high end back up or place holder QB can win some games making the division tougher. The Brown turds might be getting good right as Ben is done. That's not good for Steeler nation! But it could all fold up in one bad decision.

You have 31 other teams to do deals with; why do teams keep making deals with the Patriots? Especially after they drill those teams???? Just mind boggling. It's proof positive that a lot of teams really don't have any intention of winning a championship.

That sure is a excellent question? I am not versed in money ball? I know every rd has different years that the players can sign for. So all 1st Rds are 4yrs with the 5 option? Maybe those contracts are the normal and they will do some differently? And I am sure use some off those picks to move around the draft and trade for other players they want like the pats do. Also they get to see who to spend money on a 2nd contact and who to cut. While keeping some players cheap still on there rookie deals. Leaving them still cap room for FA players.
Not saying it is going to make them the next dynasty. Just maybe a .500 team and with the right QB a playoff team in the future. But screw up on the QB and to many of those picks they will still be in the basement of the AFC north. Just looks like they will be better then they have been and not the joke of the NFL.

It's a numbers thing. They have no intention of signing all those picks to long term contracts. Keep the gems, discard the others,.. same as what the Steelers do for the most part. Remember what Noll did in his first few drafts?... that's all it takes. The GM just has to hope the owner shows some patience this time around.

Didn't see it posted anywhere on this board, but former Steelers and Jags tackle Kelvin Beachum signed with the Jets on Friday ... 3 years for $24M, with $12M guaranteed.
