Hopefully he doesn't get hurt at all. The point is ANY team we play with a back up is a toss up game.

Thats the point. We don't know what games will be bad games but Ben has bad games. More than he should given his price tag and talent at this point in his career.

      Landry is affordable IMO.

In today's NFL, it's not unusual to see backup QB's making $5 million, $6 million, $7 per year.

Jones' price tag of $2.2 million is likely higher than only those backup QB's still on their rookie contracts.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

          Just saying.

          Steelers vs Patriots last season:

          Landry Jones: 29/47, 281yds, 1td, 1int
          Ben: 31/47, 314yds, 1td, 1int
Obviously the standard is the standard.

              Steelers vs Browns last season:

              Ben: 23/36, 167yds, 0tds, 0int.

WOW facts and all make Jones look good for a back up. Ben not so "franchise". Or it points to Haley sucking at calling plays for Ben? Is Ben really struggling in Haleys offense now with limited WR's in "16"?
Is Ben really in retirement mode? This truly is going to suck! It was great to have a franchise QB. I want another one! Lol I also hope Bryant can come back and have a massive season!

You probably should have just stopped at Jones looking good for a backup...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Roethlisberger targeted his two pet "B"s 19 times in that game. Meanwhile, Jones wasn't so fixated, targeted Ayers 12 times but spread it around to 8 different receivers for the other 25 atts. Roethlisberger has tunnel vision at times, which is affecting his game.

which is why I made a thread asking if Ben is getting a pass by the fans.

Everyone wants to blame Landry for proof the FO doesn't want to win. It's not Landry that we need to put under a microscope. It's Ben.

All the losses to subpar teams. That isn't Landry. Our offense is stagnant at times because I truly believe Ben isn't as hungry as he used to be.

Also realize Landry played the last game bs the Browns without Bell and Bryant.

Like i said before, we have bigger problems than who our backup QB is.
Bell can win games by himself if the defense were solid.

this I agree but when AGAIN do the wheels fall off? Can't keep doing that if he is the ride to the super bowl.

This has to be a big concern for the team right? Bell missed how many carries and receptions for 3 game suspension and the wheels fell off in the AFCC. My other concern is when and how do you not over use him ag times in games that are close with him such a weapon? Good problem to have maybe? And I only see the fix with having a real weapon as his back up. Not a problem I like. Going to be interesting to see how this goes IF Bell gets a big long term deal.
