Agree that we have no idea about Golson, but the coaches should at least have a very good idea of his football IQ. They've had an opportunity to teach him for two years, get some insight into how he learns. Thing is, IQ doesn't help if he has no physical tools to help himself. We can hope but that's about it.

Of course, if we want to use the old "we have an extra second rounder coming back" we also can say...

We have an extra first rounder this season in Heyward.
We have an extra second rounder (not where he was picked, but what promise he has shown while on the field) in Bryant...but also a guy who is one misstep away from oblivion.
We have an extra question mark at TE in Green.

If Heyward is back to being himself, and if Bryant stays clean then we have a big hit already. Green then becomes a bonus weapon if he can ever play effectively, as does Golson. A full contribution from both Heyward and Bryant gives us more than anyone else in this incoming class will.

It's no secret, the Steelers have done better in the playoffs in seasons where they have had a good run/pass balance.
I am not sure on the money for 2 players effecting the team. I have no problem with it. As the cap keeps going up in chunks.

As far as Ben goes he has issues always has. He needs a good running game at least that is for sure. If you want him to carry the team he needs 2 maybe 3 dynamic WR's or a big play TE IMO. The offense looked good with AB and Bryant. And to the lesser extent with AB and Green. Bell does his thing to put this team on his back and in position to win games at times. They need to figure how to run and pass at times not either or. That is how it looked to me at times. Running game was strong and passing game weak when needed. And passing game was strong and running game was weak. Sure the defense on the other side had a hand in that also. But it looked odd at times to me.

I never thought BA was a good or bad OC same goes for Haley. There both average. I like Haleys style more though.
This offense needs to figure out how to score points more and not stall out at bad times. Take the easy yards that is given more times also. Not sure if that is Ben or the OC. Remember what players are on the field! Not all of them are AB, Bell, or Bryant. Some of that is on Ben and I get the guys still need to do there job. But at times they asked to much of Coates or Hey Bay. And even Bell. You can use Coates or Hey Bey to take the top off and even try to hit a big one with them. But dang not every 3 & 1. As it seemed to happen. Use your players to there best. Round peg round hole dang it! It did not look like that this past season. Also another gripe is quit running the wheels of Bell! He is awesome! But figure out a way not to kill him! The first 2 playoff games were great to watch him do work. But it cost them in the AFCC game. Not sure how to fix that. As I believe in using the best players to there max. But it has to change if they plan to sign him to a long term deal.
