Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

As GM I am locking up the big 3. Ben is already locked up with 2-3 years left. Sign Le'Veon to a 4 year deal. Sign AB to a long term deal for very good money not julio jones money. 13 million per. Franchise Tag Timmons. He probably only has a good year or two left. Lock up Tuitt long term.
Draft OLB and DB or Saftey. I think we are good at WR. I feel M. Bryant will stay out of trouble but we shall see. Him with AB, Ayers, Rogers plus we can draft one in the 5-7 rounds.
Trading AB is absurd...Just like Rooney 11 said today, its little anoyances not big distractions. He is a worker!

Timmons is not worth franchise tag dollars.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

I'd have to agree that Timmons is not worth 14 million plus

I think Timmons will settle for less than tag money...especially at this point in his career. He's a steeler for life.

Offer Wheaton a 3 year contract at 3-4 million per year Disagree. Let him go. Read next answer for reason

Look to trade AB...Don't sign him to a new deal...Going to command at least 14-15 million per year.
He's an UFA so no compensation if he signs with someone else for 2018. Because of the extra money given to AB over the past few years, next year his pro-rated signing bonus is almost $9M. That is cap money the team is on the hook for whether he plays, gets traded, gets cut, or retires. Salary portion is $4.7M. He will be playing in Pittsburgh in 2017. In the meantime try to re-up him. Next year cap number will be around the same and future somewhere around the Julio Jones range (5 yr, 70M)

Sign Grimble (Exclusive Rights Free Agent) Sign to #3 TE money because unless Green retires I don't think he goes anywhere

Green is done/gone which leaves only 1 TE on the roster in James Green only done if he leaves on his own. Bonus hit higher than potential cap savings. I think they keep a close eye on him and only if he is unable to play is he gone.

Need to draft another TE mid to late round

Offer Timmons a 3 year contract at 5-6 million per year I'd go two years, but if the guaranteed is low enough then three is fine.

Go out and grab a proven CB -Stephon Gilmore

New regime in Buffalo, guy is a stud and would be solid for years to come(26 years old)
He'd be a good addition. Cockrell is a FA and while serviceable he should be upgraded.

AB will be 29 this summer. I don't want to see him signed on a 5 year, 70 mill deal. That will have him in PITT through age 35. Ben won't last that long, and AB's production will likely be on the decline...with age, and a new, young QB.

AB declining is still a deal and he will be a great safety valve for a young QB.

I don't think AB is a Wallace clone who needs Ben to put up good numbers.

He had 7 for 105 and 7 for 86 with Landry Jones last year vs the Rats and Pats.

declining, but still a deal at $15 million a year?

I hope he's still at the top of his game..into his mid 30's. Could just as easily turn into a Troy Polamalu though...

yes, he won't start declining until his last 2 years and declining for AB is still top 10 production. By that time $15 mill won't be a big deal. Pretty sure WR's will be getting $20 a year in 5 years.

Troy had to sacrifice his body to make tackles and take on LB's.

AB plays a different game. If he gets a bad injury it could be over tomorrow but thus far he has only missed one game and that was due to a cheap shot.

Fair enough. I like your optimism on AB's production 3-4 years down the road... like it's a "Certainty". Just hope it comes to pass.

well all I have to go on is past production and AB has been top 3 the last few years.

that's what makes the AB hate/trade talk a head scratcher. We are talking about a player who has destroyed most of our WR stats these last few years.

He's a top 2 receiver now... no one is going to dispute that. There are many variables in play though...looking down the road 3-4 years. Obviously Ben is going to play a huge part in AB's production. Ben and AB have a special relationship. Not sure AB holds the same value with a new/young QB...especially as a "Safety valve" as you put it. I think AB is pretty well out of the picture when (or shortly after Ben retires).
