ehh, we saw Denver and Seattle win the last few years and the Pats W was due to a GL stand. Pats may not have a dominant D every year but its usually opportunistic and is top 5 in a stat like points allowed or TO's. They also tend to be the best at taking away what an opponent does best and copies what teams did to defeat the opponents they face in the playoffs.
But they all had good offenses, we saw what happened to Denver and Seattle when their offenses declined. New England is opportunistic but their defense is no where near dominant, they rely on their offense.
