Receivers falling down, tipped balls ... I could see weather like that being a QB nightmare. And also closing the natural effectiveness gap between the QBs.

We got our "6-PACK" - time to work on a CASE!

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!

Wintery conditions actually help receivers, since they can anticipate when they are cutting, where they are going, etc. Defensive backs have a much more difficult time in these conditions, because they must try to react and respond to whatever the receiver is doing.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Both teams are familiar with cold weather football, it shouldn't be a problem.

Cold is one thing, ice is not a common weather condition for a game. "Significant Icing" is even less so

Roethlisberger better have a few pair of his gloves ready.

IMO? Do something that they haven't done, but have only hinted at:

Formations with both DeAngelo Williams and Le'Veon Bell...they talked about it back in September (before the first time they played KC)...

Heck, put in the extra offensive lineman as well...if it's icy, run some misdirection plays with both RBs in the backfield...send one of them out on a pattern...

The Chiefs are ballhawks in the secondary, but haven't performed well in run defense...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

They've left themselves with a mighty small temperature range here. I guess it's gonna be 37.

I suspect we'll get more jumbo packages with an extra OLineman.

No need to get too cute when you when you have Bell. Although I like the creative formations as much as anyone. And Bell is probably as good as a WR giving us even more flexibility in putting both him and Williams in the game together.

But I still don't think DeAngelo adds as much value to our offense at the extra lineman.

No need to bring in the extra lineman, because that only results in the defense putting an extra man down in the box. Bell runs just as well when you spread out the defense, since they need to worry about defending the pass game at the same time. Gimme a steady dose 11 personnel (1 RB, 1 TE...a 3-wide single back formation). That's your most effective personnel grouping for both running as well as passing.

                        Normally, I would agree...

In the icy weather though, it might be easy for the defense to play the run and allow the passing game, troubled by the poor weather, to flounder...

field will be covered and unless it hails I doubt it will be much worse than Buffalo.

Here's a more serious response to your question about what the Pats are doing this week.

It's a clip from a few years back where Belichick and Brady are brainstorming plays for an upcoming game against the Ravens.

                                http://www.12up.com/posts/4395520-if-you-think-tom-brady-is-a-product-of-belichick-watch-them-talk-strategy?a_aid=40966

I imagine that the same kinds of conversations are happening this week.
