Le’Veon Bell “not going to let” another injury happen against Bengals
Posted by Josh Alper on December 15, 2016, 7:04 AM EST

Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell’s last two meetings with the Bengals haven’t gone particularly well.

In 2014, a hit from safety Reggie Nelson in a Week 17 game left him with an injured knee and kept him from playing in Pittsburgh’s loss to the Ravens in the playoffs. Bell’s knee got hurt again last year on a hit by linebacker Vontaze Burfict that ended his season and touched off bad blood with Burfict that boiled over in their playoff rematch.

Bell said during the offseason that he felt Burfict and the Bengals have tried to hurt him and that leaves him on guard for this Sunday’s game.

“I’m pretty sure they are going to do whatever they got to try to get me off the field. It is what it is. I understand that,” Bell said, via ESPN.com. “The last two times I’ve played them, it’s been that way. I’m obviously not going to let it happen a third time. I’m going to be prepared for everything. Got to, because with my mindset I have to be smart about it.”

Bell has missed the postseason the last two years because of the injuries suffered against the Bengals. If lightning should strike for a third time, the Steelers’ chances of even making it to the postseason would take a big hit so it’s best for all involved in Pittsburgh that Bell remain upright when the game draws to an end.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

LOL... it's why he's actually accepted around these parts by most and not considered a troll...
meanwhile, it also led me to point out to the steelers fans that complained about how bad Ben is on the road, but, he's better on the road than roughly 20 teams are AT HOME... kinda 'preciate that tiproast made me dig a little on that one.

Frankly, if I were the Bengals I would love seeing that quote.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Send Finney right after Burfict and roll up on his ankle.
