ask Haley.26 passes in the first half..
what the hell were we trying to prove?
Bell literally WALKED into the endzone and had room to run all day.
Glad we won but we damn sure tried to make it harder than it needed to be. We should have won by 21 and had these guys resting the last half of the 4th.
Maybe buffalo's D was expecting a pass
wnen bell walked into the end zoneComment
-
you sure about that? Looking at the weather conditions and the amount of yards Bell had its safe to say this was a game we could have ran the ball 26 times in the first half and been up by 28 points.
I know it's all about balance but honestly, yesterday was a prime example of trying to pass defeat from the jaws of victory.
Bell had 240 yards on the ground. This isn't because the pass set up the run but because the Bills wanted no part of Bell and our pulling guards.
I didn't see any WR's running the wrong routes.
The 1st INT was a option route for green. Green went inside, Ben threw outside.
Didnt see a replaybut read that brown never cut out on the 2nd INT.
Although Maybe he wasn't supposed to.
Could have been another miscommunicationComment
-
Ben said the 2nd INT was all on him ... rushed it and threw it early before Brown could slide out of it.
Wouldn't admit he made a bad throw on the 3rd one ... attributed the INT to a great play by the Bills' LB.

He had a couple more bad throws that probably should've been picks.Comment

yeah, the thing that worried me the most was Ben had a clean pocket all day and was making questionable decisions. It's like he was dead set on some of those pass plays to throw to guys who were covered. Ben was bailed out on the endzone INT that was dropped because there were 2 Bills going for the ball. I know he likes Green and he is a big target but it looked like the Bills were ready for it.Ben said the 2nd INT was all on him ... rushed it and threw it early before Brown could slide out of it.

but, MOST teams have better records at home than on the road. in fact, MOST teams historically have LOSING records on the road.

Ben's difference is about 18%With 31 of 32 teams in the NFL having better home records than away with an average difference of 14.46%, home field advantage is clearly a powerful force in the league.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

Ben Roethlisberger: I’d vote Le’Veon Bell for MVP
Posted by Josh Alper on December 14, 2016, 1:17 PM EST
The last time someone other than a quarterback was named the NFL’s Most Valuable Player was in 2012 when Vikings running back Adrian Peterson took the honor after running for 2,097 yards during the regular season.
Unless someone goes crazy over the last three weeks, no one is going to run for more yards than that this season or even cross the 2,000-yard mark. A couple of running backs have seen their names get thrown into MVP consideration, however.
Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott’s rookie year has pushed the Cowboys to an 11-2 record, David Johnson of the Cardinals could be the third back with 1,000 receiving and 1,000 rushing yards in a year and Le’Veon Bell is averaging 161.6 yards from scrimmage per game. That pace would leave the Steelers star with nearly 2,600 yards over a 16-game season, but Bell was suspended for the first three games of the year so he won’t get that many opportunities. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger isn’t letting that stop him from providing an endorsement on Wednesday, though.
“I think they at least deserve to be in the conversation,” Roethlisberger said. “At least my guy, I know it. I know, obviously, what Ezekiel has done. But I put my vote for 26 any day.”
Bell isn’t the only candidate who served a suspension this season. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, a two-time winner, is also among the leading candidates and his position could give him (or Matthew Stafford, for that matter) an edge come voting time.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/12/14/ben-roethlisberger-id-vote-leveon-bell-for-mvp/Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

I've been saying the same to my local-friendly-Cowboys fan. "My guy will have more total yards than YOUR guy in THREE FEWER games. Zeke's case for MVP isn't legit"Ben Roethlisberger: I’d vote Le’Veon Bell for MVP

Ben is still the leader of this team and will be as long as he's playing.

it's REALLY dang good for Hoodie and Brady. Since 2002, their ROAD win% is better than everyone at home (except the Steelers, Ravens, Colts). Insane. Putting that in perspective for the Steeler fans, the Steelers are better on the road than roughly 2/3 of the teams are at home.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

You know tiproast cleverly avoided bragging bout his team (class move), but put just enough out that someone else would point out what you just said.it's REALLY dang good for Hoodie and Brady.
