Ben Roethlisberger: It’s only halftime

The Steelers offense flopped against the Ravens last week in quarterback Ben Roethlisberger’s return to action after he missed a game with a knee injury and the 21-14 loss dropped them to 4-4 halfway through the season.
Roethlisberger said Tuesday that he agreed with wide receiver Antonio Brown that everyone on the offense needs to step up in order to avoid a repeat while expressing confidence that the Steelers will be able to do exactly that in the eight remaining games this season.
“I could do the Aaron Rodgers, ‘Relax,’ but I’m just going to say, it’s halftime,” Roethlisberger said on The Cook and Poni Show on 93.7 The Fan. “We’re at half time, and we’ve had a lot of great second halves in my career and Pittsburgh Steelers’ season history … it’s not over yet and I’m excited for the second half of the season.”
The last two years have seen the Steelers post better records in the second half on their way to the playoffs and they went from 4-4 to 10-6 last season, so Roethlisberger’s got some history to point to about the Steelers finishing stronger than they started. A win over the 7-1 Cowboys this weekend would be a good way to get the ball rolling toward another happy ending.
