"Steelers are drafting at the place that got them to draft some legends"
...and then you blow your wad on Artie Burns. Pathetic. I want to hear their reason why they drafted him so quickly.2022 NFL Mock Draft

The Steelers have done fairly well drafting first round picks over the years. Burns isn't a popular pick because he isn't a big name. Burns has potential. Only time will tell.Comment

Draft Analysis:
"Burns is a tall cornerback and he has world-class speed. He's very raw. I know teams with a third-round grade on Burns and others that believe he could end up the best corner in this draft." -- Mike Mayock2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

Maybe because the Steelers thought Burns was their guy. Maybe they believed another team would draft Burns if they traded down.

"...A fiery competitor, Burns is never one to back down from any challenge on the playing field. He possesses the brash, cocky demeanor of a shutdown corner and backs it up with impressive stats. He gave up just two touchdowns over the past two seasons, per Pro Football Focus, and allowed an NFL passer rating of 40.8 in 2015. To put that number into perspective, if a quarterback throws the ball into the ground on every play, he ends up with a passer rating of 39.6."Last edited by Flasteel; 04-28-2016, 11:42 PM.sigpic

Let's pray that Burns turns out to be "The best corner of this class". Yeah, we have Golsen still that hasn't played (that immature idiot blocked me on Twitter for saying "we don't need another druggie on this team" when he was hoping for his buddy Ndemkchie or whatever to be drafted at #25. He's got some growing up to do if something that minor offended him.2022 NFL Mock Draft

this was the reason I didn't really expect a CB. Either him or Burns is going to be considered a bust this year - because neither will beat out Will Gay...
Then again, the silver lining: we basically get 2 Second-round CBs added to this class... that's kind of a plus.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment
