Yes! But, he doesn't do it in peace...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I'll wait for the next post on how this is a me issue.

he does it in piece by piece by piece by piece...

it's one of those 20k piece puzzle sets and Ovi just finished the border. We still have a long way to go.

I have said it before for Ovi and will do so again JJ is no worse or better then Worilds at this point. Many posters on here when JJ was drafted were very concerned on his strength, speed and ability to just make the overall jump to NFL. I cut him a slight break because he has had injuries that put him behind and he has had the hard time making the jump to NFL he is a Tebow hype type to me! To good in college and average or below in NFL. And the Steeler's over drafted him. Oh I also give him a break because this defense has changed and we are spoiled at the OLB position for soooo long! I would keep him around on the cheap to be a rotational player. For having a very bad 40 he does well in zone coverage IMO. Plus this more hybrid D needs different style players so he still has a fit even if a small one. Take your meds Ovi!

What's funny is when the puzzle is complete it will be a great picture of Dick LeBeau.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                but Go Steelers!!!

He is also good against the run...

Out of that 2013 first round, only Ziggy Ansah has shown any pass rush skills whatsoever...

I can agree JJ is good against the run also. But the no 1st rd player picked was good at pass rush is crap argument at best. I don't care that other players also suck at pass rush! I am looking at JJ. If that draft was repeated I am sure the steelers do not draft him in the first rd with the knowledge they have on him now. Again I do not see him as a 1st rd pick. But unlike Ovi I don't see him as a bust either or infatuated with him being a bad 1st rd pick!

It isn't a crap argument. Who else would you compare him to besides the other players available in that draft?

If that 2013 first round was repeated, I am also sure that the Steelers do not draft him...nor would any of the other pass rushers in his draft class end up in the first again...with the exception of Ansah...

                        Worlds-first 3 seasons = 10 sacks

                        Jones-first 3 seasons = 5 sacks

No matter what new math you want to use that isn't equal performance. Worilds was the better player after Year 3 and don't forget he had a serious wrist injury too.

Jones' fans can keep moving the goal posts and the standards all they want but it doesn't change the fact he is a 1st Round pick performing like 3rd or 4th round pick...if that. Dupree as a rookie out performed him and fortunate for us showed we may have gotten it right with him.

Haha Your just going to use sacks. Check the snap count, tackles, strips drops into zone etc. Also IMO the left and right side are different positions.Plus this defense has changed. Would have to see how much Worilds dropped compared to JJ for sure. Again maybe I am not stating my point. You are correct he was a bad 1st rd OLB. But not a total bust as you want to say with your stalker type posts on him. He has a place in this defense for now. But I feel in the same way that I hope to not over draft a CB in the same way. Plus we are so spoiled from all the years of great OLB's! Keep up the stalker type posts on JJ! I get a good laugh for it others around here not as much!

Have to side with Ovi on this. Jones has not established himself as a difference maker .

but I am a patient man and am willing to watch another season (then again not sure the Steelers have much of another option at this point)

Now you just have to mention it another 4899 times to be even with him.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
