Ben has always been a great QB, Haley has made Ben into a great passer.

Losing Haley would hurt, right now the team on the offensive side of the ball including both coaches and players work very well together. People dont like haley because hes not a perfect play caller, which no one, absolutely no one is but coaches grow into roles just as players do. Gameplanning and play design, haley is top notch

dude, you were so obsessed I don't think you read all my post criticizing DL and wanting to move on when we were rebuilding the D.

I wasn't hijacking threads to voice my opinion but I was never a fan of needing superstars at every position and having a playbook the size of a dictionary.

Butler patiently waited for his turn. He turned out to be "the guy". If Haley does have an opportunity to move on to what he feels are greener pastures, I can't imagine the Steelers looking to make a big change to the offense when Ben turns 34 in March.

coordinators leave for HC jobs all the time... it's rare for them to stick around for a long time when they are successful.

Last thing I want is our players not being able to adapt when they leave. Its part of the game.

If Haley shines and gets us to the promised land with creative offensive packages that minimize the impact of no real RB, he will be gone next year. I'd take that trade-off!

good point, we have no idea if Haley wants to be a HC again after the last fiasco in KC. The way teams are treating coaches these days it may not be that attractive to him.

I think Munchak deserves a raise and a cushy assistant HC title. Imo hes one of the best positional coaches of all time but by everything I heard he doesnt want to be a head coach, nor does he want to call plays. He is such an impressive developer of talent and i LOVE his blocking scheme.

I also think Haley is happy here, but for that kind of raise im pretty sure hes not hanging up the phone on anyone interested.

Yes, I thought about that later ... he might be in the position of ready to be hired as HC, but it would be so late in the hiring season that no one is around to do it.
