on the other hand, Coughlin went to the Tomlin school of C-management.

I watched, I didn't see anything spectacular. All I came down to was holding the giants to field goal, if Beckham holds onto that catch the game was over.

No clue what the Giants were doing. I understand they wanted the TD. It didn't work and it left the Pats with a lot of time to get in FG range.

Run the ball, bleed the clock, make the FG. It would have made their job easier.

        I hate the Pats.....

Belechick didn't do anything special except let Coughlin out think himself and completely mismanage the last 2:06 and NE with only one timeout. Brady should have had about 1:15 and no timeouts instead of 1:47 and no timeouts. As far as I'm concerned the Giants got what they deserved.

Had the Giants run the ball the Pats probably would have been all too happy to let them score and give the ball to Brady with the 2 minute warning and a timeout but needing a TD.

Exactly when Brady leaves the game let's see how smart BB IS.

                  $$$$$
Coughlin failed at clock management today. Don't know how anyone could watch a game like that one and believe that clock management is no big deal.

No way they where going to let them score, if you hold them to a field goal, you only need a field goal to win.

or if the safety holds on to the crappy pass brady threw for an INT on the first play of their drive...

but, the biggest thing, is they gave up first downs in chunks to the giants. so, it wasn't an 8 minute drive. couldn't figure why the G-men kept passing and stopping the clock for them right before the 2-minute warning... guess belicheat made them pass... *shrug* great clock management, pats**

What I saw was Belichick taking 2 time outs on the far side of 2min. preserving time on the clock rather than time outs. Exactly the opposite of Tomlin's thinking when presented with the same circumstances.

                          Maybe not spectacular, but smart.

I agree. Coughlin gagged on clock management while BB did it right.

Two different situations, in Tomlins case if we held them to a field goal we where going to need a td. In Belicheck's case if they hold the giants to a field goal they only need a field goal to win. So rather its a 1:47 or 1:15 it's still enough time for the patriots to get into field goal range, which is why the giants where trying to score a td.
