All I'm saying is that Karma is a fickle lady, and I believe that Marsha, Belicheat, and all their low-life fans are gonna get theirs....

Brady is talking all kinds of smack to players and other teams' fans and sore winners get their come-uppins as Momma used to say...

But, you know what is really funny? I watched 'Gameday Final' last night and Mike & Mike this morning and not one of the analysts mentioned the clock. All they could talk about are the plays the Giants left on the field to ice the game, Beckham should have held on, The safety should have never took one hand off the ball, don't give up the punt return, of course, these are plays that could have won the game, nearly every team that loses a game can go through that effort and find plays in which had they made them won the game for them. Mismanaging the clock seems to be something that quite a few coaches don't grasp completely. Fans can hate on Cowher for turtle ball, but that guy knew how to close out a game.

If I'm the coach of the Giants and I look across the field and see Tom Brady as the quarterback of the other team and I know I can't completely ice the game I am playing to leave him as little time as possible and as few TOs as possible to give my defense the best chance to win the game. The Giants in their infinite wisdom stopped the clock for the Patriots on 1st down outside the 2 minute warning and they didn't have to use a TO. Even if Beckham holds on and the Giants take a 6 point lead, the Patriots would have been left with a TO and 2 minutes and possibly one play before the 2 minute warning after the kickoff provided the Giants don't kick it on the field of play forcing the Patriots to field the ball and use the last second before the 2 minute warning.

Tom Brady, 2 minutes and 1 TO is an eternity for Brady even needing the TD rather than just a FG. The Giants got what they deserved because they didn't exhaust every possible avenue to victory and the Brady made them pay. Had that last drive started with 1:20 rather than 1:47 the outcome could have been different.

This one was tough because Beckham caught the TD but was nonchalant about bringing it in...

I guess they could run on first down and then try to pass for a TD but it's Brady.

IMO burning clock to get a FG is a bad idea.

Against 30 other QB's it makes sense but we have seen Brady march 40 yards or so in under 40 seconds with no timeouts

Probably, true, however, had the Giants run the ball on 1st down and didn't make it the Pats would probably let the clock go to the 2 minute warning. If the Giants run on 2nd down and don't make the Pats are forced to use their final TO. If the giants run on 3rd down and score the Pats would have wasted time and TOs and the Giants would have scored.

They had to be thinking about allowing them to score, now after Coughlin helped them out by stopping the clock without the Patriots having to do anything that probably changed their thinking.

So rather its a 1:47 or 1:15 it's still enough time for the patriots to get into field goal range, which is why the giants where trying to score a td.
and the winning FG was kicked with 1 sec on the clock from 54 yds out.... so 30 some seconds could have indeed made a very big difference....

Well play calling probably changes with 30 less seconds, the point is over a minute left on the clock is plenty of time to get into field goal range especially for Brady. I think the Giants trying to score the TD was the right play, I didn't think Bellicheck's clock management was a huge part of the win, the pats got lucky. ODB drops the td, then Brady throws a gift INT and the giants drop it.
