Glad the lynch mob didn't get him....

Landry Jones that is. I admit I was giving up on the kid but he is 2-0 in relief and has looked better in relief than anyone recently not named Batch. Who wishes we dumped him now????

Yep. I was wrong about Landry, too.

Although after he's the starter for several games, I suspect fans may not be feeling quite as warm toward him as they are today...Hope I'm wrong about that, too.

Well, hopefully we need Landry just for Cleveland next week and Ben is able to heal up sufficiently over the subsequent bye week. Of course, then we have to deal with the inevitable "Ben's first game back" deal yet again...
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

At the end of games, we let him play out of the shotgun more. His problem is still taking snaps under center.

On the road, at Seattle, is a tough place for that game...

I love it. I have no problem admitting I lost faith in him but I also thought he showed major improvement this preseason.

A lot of people thought he sucked but I saw a lot of drops by a lot of practice squad players and guys who were cut.

Keep him in shotgun and let him toss it to the playmakers. Its really not that hard given how good our playmakers are once they get the ball.

I think our team isn't that bad without Ben... it's better without him but all hope isn't lost when we have to go to Landry.

Yeah, but I'd rather that be Ben's "reacclimation" game if possible than a road game for Jones (who has played well in relief at Heinz a couple of times, but struggled in a hostile environment in K.C.).

Seattle isn't invincible anymore either. They are 4-4, which is the same record as Oakland right now, and he same record we had coming into this weekend.

The Steelers can run a variation of the spread that Landry ran in college...Deangelo ran a spread, too...Randy Fichtner was the OC...

Put Landry in a position to succeed by doing what he does well...make full use of DW...ride AB, Heath and Bryant in the passing game...

Totally agree. Adjust the system to match your players. Put them in position to suceed

bingo... I feel like Haley called a scared game when Landry started... let the kid play ball and if we lose, go down swinging.

It also puts pressure on the opposing offense...like it did against Oakland...which creates turnover opportunities...

Where the Steelers had a problem yesterday was when AB's punt fumble allowed Oakland back in the game...

They had problems on defense most of the game, v. the run and pass.

Agreed. But, Oakland has a top 10 offense.
