Oh, I completely agree with changing OC's and DC's every few years to keep things fresh but I don't agree that Haley keeps Ben "upright and healthy"I don't see why this is so hard. BA's system went stale here. His play calling got stale here. His friendship with Ben could have been an issue. Personal could have been a issue. New coach new system new personal. Sometimes better sometimes worse. Just time for a fresh start. Same with ole Dick L. I liked them both for what they did for the steelers. Also I am liking the new coaches. But I am a homer!Steelers 27

When Haley kept calling short passes for Vick when he's a better long ball passer, never rolling him out , is all you need to know about Haley. Remember Ben called the pass that put us up in San Diego. And if you don't think that we only score when Ben is in no huddle are crazy.Last edited by Steelhere10; 11-09-2015, 10:06 AM.http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2...eelers2010.jpgComment

That call really drove me nuts. Otherwise, though, I didn't think the play calling on offense was terrible. The only play I hated was 3rd and 21, the Raiders have one TO and there's 2:20 and change on the clock. You aren't making 21 yards, run the ball and force the Raiders to either burn the final TO or waste the 20 plus seconds. Other than that, difficult to complain about the offense today, the Steelers needed them in a big way because Derek Carr was killing the defense.

Only? nah, Haley calls decent plays that score TD's when we executeWhen Haley kept calling short passes for Vick when he's a better long ball passer, never rolling him out , is all you need to know about Haley. I actually think we will see Landry do well under Haley. Part of the problem with Ben is his need to go long when underneath stuff is there for the taking.Steelers 27

Funny how it works out though. I agreed 100% and we were screaming at the TV when he threw incomplete...however, it turned out that the Raiders only took 1:00 to score so they didn't need the time. And the Steelers were able to use the time to complete their FG drive. So - horrible call by the O, but it didn't cost the team. The only play I hated was 3rd and 21, the Raiders have one TO and there's 2:20 and change on the clock. Hindsight is a beautiful thing, however not useful when trying to win a game. I was sitting there thinking this is the exact position the Steelers were in last week only reversed and we did the Raiders a favor by stopping the clock for them. It seems the Steelers knew the defense would fail and wanted to leave Landry as much time as possible.Funny how it works out though. Makes me think back to Tomlin telling Max Starks on the sideline during SBXLIII after Arizona took the lead late on the long Fitz TD catch: "If they're going to score, that's how you want them to score: Fast."Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

Players need to execute, but they also need to be put in the best position to succeed. I'm tired of seeing low percentage deep balls on 3rd downs that short-circuit drives, for instance.
Also, Bryant was on the field for less than half the snaps yesterday. He had some drops, but who didn't?Comment

Red zone TD scoring percentage is the highest in the Roethlisberger era by a wide margin. I want to known who is to blame for this fiasco.Comment
