    Biggest mistake of the season...

    Not starting Ben.

And a rusty Ben at 4-3 vs Bungles.

Bad tackling , Blake alone has missed 3.

Wouldn't have made a difference. Losing to the league's also-rans is the new normal so just get used to it. They'll beat good teams and lose to bad teams, that's just how it is now.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

You don't even know if he was cleared to play.

Coaches are idiots for sticking with Blake. He's perhaps the worst defensive player in football.

Stupid thread? We all knew this was not an easy win and that our D is soft. Conventional wisdom might now have this team sitting at home come playoff time. Not sure if he was cleared or not but if this is a playoff game (which eevery game kinda is with bungles at 6-0) Ben plays

The stupidity wasn't in starting Jones, it was running he game plan through him. For Le'Veon Bell not to crack 20 carries (not sure if he eventually did or not) was ridiculous. Haley did a piss-poor job of getting our best player involved in the offense today. It actually looked like we were trying to set up the run today by passing the ball and forcing defenders out of the box. Two picks and a fumble by Jones...as well as a failed 4th down conversion with D-Will was the result.

Yeah the tackling, pressure, and overall play by the defense was nothing short of pathetic, but it was only matched today by the offensive game plan.

I haven't been a Haley basher, but today he sucked.

We ran Bell early and often... I dont understand why Haley didnt mix up the run ad the pass. It was one quarter of rushing and the next quarter was all pass.

If Ben plays and get re injured then the same ones would say it was dumb.

I can't fault them for not putting Ben in. Clearly, if they thought he was healthy enough to play, he would have been in.
I hope he'll be ready to play next week.

The doctors have to clear him before they can even consider putting him into a game. That's how coaches determine when to use a player that has an injury. They have to be cleared medically.

Skyhawk admits he doesn't know if Ben was cleared to play but says if this were a playoff game he would have played. Well, it wasn't a playoff game and what makes you think the doctors would relax their standards if it was? It's nonsense to say that it was the "biggest mistake of the season" not to play Ben.

I saw Ben trying to play against SF a few years ago when he WAS apparently cleared to play and that was a travesty that I don't ever care to see again.
