I think it's a legit question. When a play works a coach is a genius but if Bell didn't get in? It would have been ugly.
It was still pretty ugly, just sayin.

But, with some people, Tomlin is a bad coach whether he wins or loses...
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

I wanted to go for it but honestly did not like the slow play call. Something quick hitting allowing a time out if necessary.

I think reluctance to go for a tie was less about being bold than it was having no confidence we win in overtime with Vick. The call might have been different with Ben. It was amazing we had a chance at all. Had to go for the kill given the chance. At least that is how I felt.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

The haters show up every time a call fails.
This creates the impression that Tomlin is terrible.

The just "knew" it would fail.

The value of this thread is to REMIND THE HATERS that they are wrong.

They don't like to be called out when it happens, but they set themselves up with their constant criticism.

I recall the glee I had calling out the Cowher haters by name when we won the SB with him and they got all mad about it because they wanted to just celebrate the win.

Too bad, when a coach proves to you wrong you just need to own it.

no. instead of enjoying a great win he posted this to somehow try and show that haters gonna hate. Guess what...nobody was hating. So no, he didn't predict it. It never happened. Are you serious lmao? Nobody took the bait. What are you even talking about? Typical fanboy logic wanting someone to hate on their idol so you create some irrational hatred just so you can defend him. We won!!! So he's basically trying to stir the pot. It didn't work....except for maybe you and a couple other Hodors. Congrats?

sorry if Tomlin gives 'haters' so much ammunition. But who else is in control of this team? I remember most blame going Scobee's way for that loss. I also see actual threads of fire Haley and other coaches but rarely do I see any about firing Tomlin. I mean, the mods would delete it as they are all massive fanboys. Kinda ruins your hypothesis huh?

What the hell are you talking about? This fanboy/hater garbage is getting real old real quick...with every "fanboy" thinking he is a realist and the "haters" are delusional, while every "hater" thinks he is a realist and those "fanboys" are delusional. Get over yourselves, everyone.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

By just about every measure and every expert who has real experience in the NFL as a player or front office staff Tomlin is a top 5 coach in this league. Haters can't deny the results over his tenure. They just can't stand to give him credit and try to make any success because of someone else and any failure because of Tomlin.

Reality is that Tomlin will be the Steelers coach for a very long tome and if when his tenure here ends here and if he still wants to coach he will be snapped up by another team almost immediately because the league know how good he is.

                          .
You celebrated a Super Bowl win by calling out other fans? Wow. No words.

You're a terrible fan if that's the case.

Did you run around the Super Bowl party pointing into peoples' faces and calling them doubters while they tried to enjoy the win?

Eh, not so sure that's true. If you were a bottom feeding team without a franchise QB and veteran coordinators on staff, would you trust Tomlin to build from scratch?

Yes. I think we are seeing now that given the choice he may have turned the defense around sooner without LeBeau. He could hire a good OC. Of course any coach struggles without a top QB, but Tomlin clearly knows how to win a locker room. An organization is a team effort from top to bottom
