Our D is worthless and Haley needs punched in the face.

It was almost like we found their weakness and INTENTIONALLY decided not to exploit it. Same with the middle blitz. BARELY saw Timmons or Shazier come up the middle. It was a horrible call and completely stalled our drive. There is an old saying. Don't fix it if it ain't broken. Haley had to be smarter than that and it cost us. Much like Peter Carroll blew a SB with the same BS smarter than thou attitude.
We had a 130 yard rusher tonight and lost. That final TD was in garbage time and doesn't count. Open your eyes.
I've give Haley credit when credit is due. You should give demerits when they are also due. Like for that horrible nonesense call.

our coaching is sooooo suspect. It's like we have too much respect to snap the ball quickly before the D lines up or exploit a teams weakness.
Pats DB's are suspect so what do we do? We run 10 draws and wait until the game is almost over to attack them.Steelers 27

Ben passed more times than Brady and DW was getting big chunks, but Brady was efficient.http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2...eelers2010.jpgComment

I actually forgot about that one. That makes three drops. Watch the game again junior. He dropped two in the 4th quarter (one over the middle on a big gain and one on the sideline)You just talk right out of your ass and get just enough support from the other ace Ventura's to stick around. Wheaton unless I'm completely missing something had one drop and it was only a drop because he wasn't able to maintain possession after he landed on top of the ball after catching it. He had a very nice sideline grab sometime after. If Wheaton is never more than a three its because he has Brown and Martavis Bryant in front of him. Get a grip.Comment

Thing is...if Brady had been given that play and lined up and saw that our D was in a zone he would have audibled. That is the difference between him and Ben. Ben just ran it without realizing it was failed before it started. Not everything is Ben's fault nor Haley. Last night Ben forced the issue like Ben of old. He needed to play better than he did. He'll be fineComment

Glad I'm not the only one who saw an undrafted FA manhandle our front four guys. No excuse.there are clear problems with the secondary. however i'm more concerned about the lack of pressure against 3 rookies on the pats o-line. it's not like our front line and LB's are rookies. I'm aware brady was dumping the ball off quickly - but holy cow, that was not very good.
overall, the D was bad - but not putrid (although leaving gronk uncovered was a putrid moment).
the offense showed it's potential - but small mistakes compounded. bottom line, we convert those FG's. DHB keeps his feet inbound and the game takes on a whole new flavor.
I didn't expect a win. I thought the offense would be sharper. I thought we needed to score 35 to win. That would have done it. I think we will be strong against san fran.
I think we'll see the pats again this year.Comment

28 points given up to the pats in foxboro is hardly worthless...the defense is not good, they are maddeningly frustrating to watch at times but many were expecting them to give up 50 points.
28-17 steelers win 2006 opener
41-10 colts win 2007 opener
16-7 giants win 2008 opener
13-10 steelers win 2009 opener
14-9 saints win 2010 opener
42-34 packers in 2011 opener
Cowboys beat the giants in 2012
49-27 broncos dismantle the ravens at home in 2013
36-16 seahawks win in 2014
Home team just about always wins, i groaned when the steelers were "given" this game.Comment

and they might have if our offense had pushed them into it. With the two TD lead and the rain they just shut it down. The defense certainly didn't stop them.28 points given up to the pats in foxboro is hardly worthless...the defense is not good, they are maddeningly frustrating to watch at times but many were expecting them to give up 50 points.
