Our D is worthless and Haley needs punched in the face.

The offense moved the ball almost at will. It wasn't perfect, as there were drops by Wheaton (he is never going to be more than a 3rd WR), missed FGs, a bad INT...but for the most part anytime you have around 500 yards offense it's a success.
Except when you make a boneheaded call that costs your team a crucial game opening drive against the defending superbowl champs at their home. That's how you set the table to lose a game.

We had a 130 yard rusher tonight and lost. That final TD was in garbage time and doesn't count. Open your eyes.
They are open. Quit being results-oriented. The play puts the ball in your best player's hands on the run--he has a run-pass option. How many times has Brown escaped that first guy, and he's off?

When our offense puts up 40s this year, I want to hear you and everyone else blaming *Haley* for this loss, rant about how a play we score on was "a horrible call". Because the calls are the same.

It will always be a horrible call regardless of what happens tomorrow. We were rolling the Pats. Marching to the endzone. He then deliberately called a trick play when it was not needed. Instead of marching forward, he called a slow developing gimmick play instead of staying with what was working. The results speak for themselves.

I'll work on the "results" oriented thing. It's one of my hang ups. At least Brown got another 5+ catch game. Awesome.

there are clear problems with the secondary. however i'm more concerned about the lack of pressure against 3 rookies on the pats o-line. it's not like our front line and LB's are rookies. I'm aware brady was dumping the ball off quickly - but holy cow, that was not very good.

overall, the D was bad - but not putrid (although leaving gronk uncovered was a putrid moment).

the offense showed it's potential - but small mistakes compounded. bottom line, we convert those FG's. DHB keeps his feet inbound and the game takes on a whole new flavor.

I didn't expect a win. I thought the offense would be sharper. I thought we needed to score 35 to win. That would have done it. I think we will be strong against san fran.

I think we'll see the pats again this year.

How on one hand everyone says we have a great offense but csnt score against a mediocre Pats defense? The defense carried the offense for decades. Now they need the offense which is suppose to be potent to carry the defense but they cant get it done. You all are not true fans. Yeah fire Tomlin. Who are you going to get? The man has been to 2 superbowls in his 8 years as coach. Do you people actually think they should go every year? If so, you the fans need to be fired. Its just unbeliveable to see these post.

If you think they suck and is so worthless stop watching, and do something else.
I said this in a post, but it was a combination of play calling, bad breaks and the play of Ben although he didn't play bad but he didn't play great either. Bad interception missing a wide open Heath that stalled a drive and never dumping the ball off to keep the chain moving.

You just talk right out of your ass and get just enough support from the other ace Ventura's to stick around. Wheaton unless I'm completely missing something had one drop and it was only a drop because he wasn't able to maintain possession after he landed on top of the ball after catching it. He had a very nice sideline grab sometime after. If Wheaton is never more than a three its because he has Brown and Martavis Bryant in front of him. Get a grip.

Shoe and some others, this is a results business and the results equal a loss. Also, Tomlin is always stressing "situational football" and in that department Haley made several mistakes along with a very under prepared team on both sides of the ball.

This team looked as if there were several new additions in a last minute attempt to build a team, not one that has been practicing since June. We may get better as the year goes along, but this is becoming very common from a Tomlin led team.

I think it's unfair to blame the pass rush, Brady was throwing the ball so quick there was no time to generate any kind of pressure.

My prediction is we look shaky til mid season then get hot late. Whether it will be enough with this schedule I don't know.

Haley sucks. The WR pass killed all the opening drive momentum, though I suspect it would have ended in a short FG or missed FG anyway. They are terrible in the red zone.

except when we blitzed the DB. The Giants have pressured Brady in every SB. It's not that hard to do if your DB's actually know where to line up.

That's a good point. The Steelers, per usual, lived in their fears and didn't jam receivers.
