Ben will continue his assault on the League throwing for over 400 yards and throwing TD passes to Brown, Miller, Coates and D. Williams.
Give the new guy a scooby snack. He converts all opportunities.

    The Steelers serve notice.

...just wait til they witness the firepower of this fully operational battle station.
I don't think we see a lot of Coates in this game, I have a feeling DHB will be the one filling in for Bryant and I think he will catch a TD.

41-17 Patriots win. The only silver lining is

      I'm usually wrong.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

      but Go Steelers!!!

The Steelers get the opening kickoff, which Dri Archer returns from deep in the endzone to the 17. The Steelers then methodically march down the field, burning 7 minutes of clock, and are stopped at the Pats** 18. A Scobee FG ensues and it is 3-0. Within 3 plays, it's 7-3 Pats**, and the rout is on.

Final score, Steelers 16, Pats** 38.

The road team is 0-11 in these games, and I don't think the Steelers D is close to where it needs to be. As awful as they've looked, I think they improve as the year goes on.

Steelers defense plays better than expected, coming out party for Shazier who looks great in space and helps slow down gronk. Butler calls an aggressive game attacking the middle of pats OL

Scobee hits a late FG to win 31-30

Brady plays without prior knowledge of opponent's signals or deflated balls. He'll play like crap.
The game is on Ben. I predict Steeler victory by 10.

You all know I'm pessimistic, but NE is not the same team as last year. Outside of their front seven, QB, and a gorilla at TE, their roster stinks. If Bell, Bryant, and Pounce were all in I'd pick the Steelers by 10. As it is, I think NE in a close one, and lower scoring than people think. They'll get to Ben and kill some drives, and our D will get some stops, too. The Pats are staring a backup center and two rookies at guard.

I woke up this morning thinking the same thing. Steelers have a totally new D and Pats** have no tape yet. Brady does NOT have the answers to the test and his interior front line is young, Shazier stays on Gronk and keeps his numbers slow, Steelers O loses a few steps without Pouncey, Bell and Bryant, but still manages to outscore Pats** 27-19

this is why I think we'll struggle. Not because our starters aren't good, just our depth isn't.

The similarities between the teams right now are weird.

Both teams have their starting running backs (Bell and Blount) suspended.

Both teams have their starting centers (Pouncey and Stork) on I.R. designated to return.

Both teams will be without their #2 wideout (Bryant suspended and LaFell on PUP).

Both teams have major weaknesses in the secondary.

Goodell tried to make an example of both future Hall of Fame QB's by levying questionable lengthy suspension.

I suspect that each defense will be focused on trying to take the other teams' dominant offensive weapon (Brown and Gronk) out of the game with a specific scheme including plenty of double coverage.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Steelers win. Patriots defense proves worst than ours. Butler is aggressive and puts pressure on Brady.

Heard it it here first......Dri Archer makes a difference

Brady has had over a week to train in a new ball deflator, and doesn't even need to hide it anymore. He's going to have the most perfectly deflated balls the league has ever seen. Plus, I feel the Steelers are in disarray with suspensions, new coaches, injuries and one of the worst defenses we've ever had. Tomlin never seems to have the team ready for Game 1. I love all the optimism here, but just feel like that Pats will run all over us, like 48-28, with us scoring late to make it look respectable.

If the steelers take gronk out of the game, scott chandler will score 9 touchdowns

The Steelers defense will look as bad as it actually is and give up 30+ points. Ben will try too hard to keep up with the Pats scoring and make their defense look better than it is. Ugly night in NE tonight.....again.
