You do realize who was playing most of the game last night. It was a throw away game to look at a bunch of young guys most of who will not make a roster in the NFL.
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

I do! And I hope your right! But, I still expect the basics for anyone on the team.

No you don't or you wouldn't have made a post based on a game with our third string qb at the helm and some young bucks that may not even make the team. Preseason is for evaluating, not winning.

          Offensive Juggernaut?

I know it's a different sport with different players and coaches on a different field with different rules and a round ball, but I cannot help wonder if the Pirates scoring 13 last night is a sign of what we're in for when the Steelers play the Cheaters!

              Impressed:

Timmons, looking for bear in the plays he was in.
Shazier, showed the speed that he was drafted for; some good hard tackles too.
Archer flashing at times; hope he can learn to break arm tackles because it is pretty rare to have total whiffs in the NFL.
              Stingly was serviceable.

I think even before Brady's suspension was upheld I was fairly convinced the Cheatriots were going to lose. Much has been written about the questions surrounding our defenses transition, but with the Patriots depleted backfield, I can't envision a scenario where the Steelers don't torch them for at least thrity. I think week one will serve as a notice to the rest of the league.

Reminiscent of the people who seemed to believe the season was over during preseason last year. SMH

Funny though, I was watching thinking that arm tackles don't bring him down, his own feet usually do. He showed some nice flash, but several times he just lost balance and went down on his own.

I thought since we got rid of Lebau that we'd start out hot right from the get go. I guess Butlers defense is too complicated. Did you see how wide open that guy was on the td

I actually thought the same thing. He outran his feet a few times. I was pleasantly surprised that he broke as many arm tackles as he did.

I think Archer "outrunning his feet" is a result of being over-excited. I suspect that will get better as he plays a little more.

I agree. Though it really reminded me of how Famous Amos used to do the same. Seems he always tripped over a blade of grass

What happened to Josh Harris? I figured if we weren't playing Le'Veon and DeAngelo against the Vikes, that we'd see a good amount of Harris, but it was primarily Stingily and Archer with some Chisholm thrown in as well. Same thing when I went to Latrobe last Sunday...I remember a lot of Stingily and Archer at RB, but don't recall seeing Harris.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.
