Steelers making a big push for Revis
Wow...interesting! But 29 years old though? Ouch for a long-term contract though. I mean, hell of an upgrade and all...but the best of luck to the Steelers.

@EdBouchette: it'd be kinda neat if the steelers actually went to free agency and signed at least one good player.

"steelers way" doesn't always mean the right way. Steelers need to adapt to the market.

Steelers making a big push for Revis
This place would go into emotional meltdown if Revis signed with the Steelers...

A "big push" from the Steelers is probably not anywhere close to a "big push" from other teams interested in Revis.
I'd be shocked if the Steelers are really players in that game.

Steelers making a big push for Revis
IMO that would be a terrible signing. He will want top dollar and his age is on the wrong side of his career

I can't see it happening, simply for the price he would have to be paid. The Steelers would not be able to take on a Revis contract and re-up Ben, too.

I'd guess this is something like what they did with Elvis Dumervil a couple years back...bring him in and act like you're really interested, when you're going to offer millions less than the other teams that are pursuing him.

If we don't hurt the rest of the team I completely disagree. I don't see it happening but revis is still playing at a very high level. Ike didn't really fall off until last season and older corners have played at a high level elsewhere. Charles Woodson, champ bailey etc. If we can get him without mortgaging the future I would be elated.

                          What if Revis isn't a long-term proposition, but more a win-now proposition?

there is no way we spend 15 mill on Revis.

So you're saying those who think the Steelers will bring in Revis Island are living on Fantasy Island?
