Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.
Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.
We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.
We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.Comment

Deep Thinkers:
Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart in the case of Jacobellis v. Ohio (1964) in defining hard-core pornography, "it is hard to define but that I know it when I see it". Potter was defending against censorship.
Message Board Poster Moonie in the winter twitter postings of RB L. Bell in defining stoned and/or drunk tweeting, "As some who has posted many rants while high, drunk and/or stoned, I know it when I see it". Moonie was fighting the good fight and thinking about the best snack when one gets the munchies.sigpicComment

I am under the general opinion that social media is the most base and ridiculous form of self gratification. It is literally one step above public masturbating. The idea that people are so self consumed they think others care about the mundane events in their life is boggling. Now with public figures and athletes - one could make the argument that because there is a high level of interest in these individuals, a social media outlet is useful. But if you want to use social media to interact and promote your 'brand' (which may be the athlete themselves) at least put a second set of eyes on it before hitting submit.
other than the occasional viral video on youtube where someone gets paid - I see absolutely ZERO benefit to social media. Sharing intimate details about your life with friends and family - fine. Broadcasting to the world at large just because you can? insane. There are floors of IT departments these days dedicated to monitoring social media. They aren't doing it to help the moron posting.
but having said all that - I thought his rant against kiper was funny, an insight into how bell thinks and most of all true.
kiper appears to spend more time looking into a mirror than he does at film.
still, social media. bad........2014 MNF EXEC CHAMPION!!!Comment

This man deserves an award! That is some piece of eloquent writing!
I call social media "The devil incarnate". But reading what my friends and relatives blabber on social media has given me a way to sort out who they really are... I loathe social media. It's only defendable exception is perhaps for separated families, it gives them another way to communicate. Promoting brands is ok by me, but I really don't give a rats behind about what you had for supper, who you voted for, or knowing the fact that little Johnny used the potty for the first time... and a host of other inane bantering's.Comment
