    Bells Twitter Rant

I understand the freedom of speech and erosion of civil liberties and all, but shouldn't the Steelers hire a Social Media Coordinator.
It would be helpful for all involved to insert a limited filter that helps prevent these broadcast lapses in judgement.
Bell may be absolutely right but better to keep it among friends than shoot unsolicited inflammatory statements to the media.
Plus the lingo is pretty non-professional...the whole thing just doesnt do anything to raise Bell's standing in the community.

    Lighten up Francis...

Honestly I have no issue with Bell or any other player hitting back at the "draft gurus" of the world. These guys can really affect a player's standing as it pertains to the draft, especially among the fans of a team. So many fans of a team will rely on the prognosticators and their opinions and just use them as their own. If a Kiper or McShay knock a guy, many fans do too, w/o knowing anything about the player.

This one doesn't bother me too much. He's not attacking fans or doing anything that sheds a negative light on the organization. And I'm almost as much of a curmudgeon as Pappy.

I love twitter (and follow Bell) so when I saw this happening last night I had to laugh. It's a bit out of context when you read the messages all in a row, as a lot of it is him interacting with people writing back to him. For example, one fan mentioned Mike Mayock being a good talent evaluator, and Bell laughed and said NO. Pretty funny and one of the reasons twitter is such a good forum for interaction. What makes it so great is the same thing that makes it so dangerous!

Millennials are annoying whether they play for the Steelers or live in their parent's basement.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I was going to say writing like that can't help his post-NFL chances at being a talking head. Then I remember Michael Fn. Irvin is on TV every Sunday.

So I take it back. It will have no effect at all on his post-NFL career.

so all he did was call out a draft geek?

Did he curse him out or something?

Are these draft guys off limits? If so, he needs to stfu.. if not, who cares.

                    I hate those draft guys.

No big deal. I respect Kiper for being way ahead of his time and taking a hobby and turning it into an incredibly lucrative career. Millions of people now do mock drafts. All that said, he's talking sideways out of his a$$ a good bit of the time. I don't think anything Bell said was false. I kind of like that Kiper got called out on his nonsense.

That said, some of the guys that got over drafted by teams because of what Kiper & McShay have said should jump to the rescue.

It's nothing in the grand scheme of things, but it's still not the 'smartest' move from a guy that will take another PR hit once his suspension becomes reality.

Where are the true professionals these days?

Oh, that's right- we are about to let the last of them go...
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

                        Light up the darkness.

My wife calls me Walter in honor of the Jeff Dunham character. Oh and this is much ado about nothing, Bell will still be a fan favorite and he'll still be better than Kiper and McShay thought he would be. He gets his retribution with his play on the field every week.

No kidding. Especially since type of rant he did is usually influenced by booze/drugs.
