Todd Haley wasn't asked to interview for ONE head coaching vacancy.

        Why?

Because legitimate, NFL brass, see the Todd Haley Era in Pittsburgh for the overrated farce that it is.
        yes, we know Crash.

Todd Haley is an ex-golf coach who would have never gotten the job except for who his Daddy is.

Art II is a two-bit lawyer who would never be in this position except for who his Daddy is...

Not sure exactly what you have, to dispute them.

            The solutions are simple:

Bryant, Brown, and either Coates/Wheaton as your three best WR's as your base offense.

            Bell/Williams

            Miller

            Ben

And get out of their way.

Nail Spaeth and Will Johnson to the bench.

            Win your Conference.

            It's not rocket science.

Until this organization stops trying to relive the past? They can't move forward into the future.
Todd Haley's offense (you know, that moronic golf coast offense featuring the likes of Mike Adams, James Harrison, Matt Spaeth, and Will Johnson running routes all the time) actually lined up in 11 personnel two thirds of the time last year. For those who are unfamiliar, that's a single back set with one TE and 3 wideouts. Sounds like a base offense to me.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Of course, people might know that if they were "watching the games."

And Art II is among them.

And they haven't won anything since.

What's alarming is Tomlin seems to be a willing puppet for this as well.

I want 2008 Mike Tomlin back.

So YOU can rip Haley. But *I* say he needs to go and I'M a troll.

                    Interesting.

Save your breath, you and your gang can't spin your way out of that one.

My work's done here. You've been exposed for the blowhard hypocrite you've always been.
How so? For liking Fichtner? Or I'm a hypocrite because Haley improved (The aforementioned last 10 games where the Steelers averaged 31 points per game which started on October 20th?) and I can admit it?

I'm a hypocrite because I posted something like that one day after the Steelers got their asses beaten by the Browns?

                    Try some context, Crashie!!

No! We must never admit that we were wrong!!!

We must choose a position and never budge on it, despite anything we may see or hear!!

I haven't always endorsed Haley. In fact, I called for him to be fired at one time. I don't think I'm exactly known as a Haley cheerleader. I don't see what that has to do with my post. I merely pointed out that Ruthless pretty much exploded your contention about Haley not running 3-wideout sets. Which you really had no answer for. Dredge up all the old posts you want--still doesn't constitute an answer to Ruthless's point.

In 2011, the Steelers offense scored 14 points or less in 6 out of 17 games...of those 6, half of them were wins because we had the #1 defense and #1 scoring D...

In 2014, the Steelers offense scored 14 points or less in 3 out of 17 games...of those, all three were losses because our defense sucked...

How much of the time were they down 31-3 last season? I'd say if they had 3 wideouts on the field 2/3 of the time, then, yes, that's their base offense. Of course, their "base offense" might be different if they were always playing with a lead. But they weren't, so their "base offense" was what it was. Ruthless called you on it, and you were wrong. Admit it.

So what? If they run 100% of the time when they have a 3-wideout package, does that mean it's not a 3-wideout package?

I think those numbers above prove who has the 3 wide set base, and who doesn't.

                                TOTAL plays from scrimmage:

                                2014 Steelers 383 of 1035 plays with 2+ TE's

                                2014 Packers 161 of 971 plays with 2+ TE's.

That's right, we ran a mere 64 total plays than Aaron Rodgers team.

But we also ran 222 MORE plays with 2+ TE's on the field.
So what? None of those "stats" (by the way, I thought we were supposed to "stop reading stats") disprove Ruthless' point that the Steelers ran the 3-wideout set 2/3 of the time. Face it, he got you on that one.
