ok, i guess im gonna have to wait until someone can prove that the pats were able to get the 'special' football at the critical parts of the game and that indy never got it.
i'll be curious what ball attendant was holding this 'special' ball and denied the refs when they asked for it but insisted they take it during the moments the pats needed it.
if the refs did check them before the game(like they are supposed to)it will be interesting to see on video tape the person assigned to sticking a needle in ball "X" to deflate it to billicheat's liking and labeling it somehow so they know which ball it is out of the possible 36 in use.
hey, i love a good conspiracy. im curious how the pats were able to pull this off.

Colts didn't accuse them. The refs took the ball out of circulation for testing.

Maybe you should google the whole Lane Kiffin at USC ball deflating scandal to see how it's done after the refs have checked the footballs. Again, if you read the article, you'll see that the Center has the option of calling for a new ball during the game. Not so hard to see how the Center calling for the new ball is a signal and really not hard to see how an attendant can hold one ball back out of 12 until the "appropriate" time.

you are asking him to read and retain information. Good luck with that.

4 pages in and he still doesn't understand how each team uses their own set of footballs.

If the Patriots are found to have been cheating again, and the NFL is really serious about cleaning it up? They have to do more than just take away a draft pick, IMO (the draft is not as important to the Patriots' success as it is to most other teams anyway). I realize ball deflation was not enough to affect the outcome of this particular game...but it might be in some games. So if they really want to stop this kind of crap, they have to TREAT it as though it WAS enough to affect the outcome.

actually my mistake on the balls...12

NFL rules state that the home team is responsible for providing 12 primary game balls to the referee two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff, who then inspects the balls and gives them to an attendant. After the game balls leave the locker room, “no one, including players, equipment managers, ball boys, and coaches, is allowed to alter the football in any way.”

Exactly, he still would rather relate this to how the Pats* have such a better coach than us. Sad, really, really sad.

You are assuming that the NFL is worried things such as fair play and integrity. Further assuming that they are serious about publicly acknowledging that the Pats* are cheating again (never stopped) and are serious about stopping them.

Well, the suspicion is that somebody WAS altering some of the footballs during the course of the game. That's when the alleged infraction occurred.
