There could be 10 win teams in the AFC that don't make the play offs. As much as you may hope so, Tomlin will not be coaching for his job next year. Tomlin is signed through the end of the 2016 season and he will be here until at least then. I'm betting he coaches 15 years with the Steelers. If he gets to another Super Bowl it will be longer.

        After early success, winning 11, 9, 12, 11, 10, and 11 games, Bill Cowher's dip in performance was 7-9 and 6-10, then 9-7.

After early success, winning 10, 12, 9, 12, and 12 games, Mike Tomlin's dip in performance was 8-8 and 8-8, then 7-4 (so far).

Considering the Cowher was given an extension in the midst of his "dip," Tomlin isn't going anywhere any time soon (to the dismay of many, I'm sure).
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Thankfully, if for no other reason than to torment the fans that wish her were gone 1 day after he was hired. Listening to the b1tching and moaning about Mike Tomlin is some of the best entertainment that you can get and it's relatively inexpensive.

So very true. With every success Tomlin has you can imagine the heads spinning like the little girl from "The Exorcist."

I think one of the biggest negatives about older players is their tendency to run out of steam toward the end of the season. It is why I don't buy into Peyton Manning and Tom Brady*'s teams, when these guys don't miss any games.

It might be a blessing in disguise.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

I liked Cowher and I like Tomlin. But I do wonder if Art II will do the same as his dad? I have read Dan Rooney's book and some of his dads coaching decisions before Noll were very funny. So Dan learned from that I am sure. But Art II may change it up? The Tomlin haters can hope so.

Not surprising. That will happen when you have no clue on how to put pressure on the QB. Plenty of time to let routes develop.

I know what you mean. Did you see Gruden show how fruitless our cross blitz by the inside linebackers was against the Titans? They never got close and allowed an inexperience QB to pick them apart on those plays. Will DL never learn.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

Why would he? I did see how an experienced NFL coach, not a "hater," demonstrated how futile the blitzes were. No pressure since the apparently has "tenure." He will just keep force feeding his way regardless of outcomes. What is frightening to consider is what Drew Brees will do against the same old plan
